So, yesterday we went to the Dr for the headaches we've been having, and since they're directly related(we think)to being multiple, we decided to come out to her. And she was cool. She didn't laugh, she didn't ask us "why we feel that way" or "who diagnosed us" and she acted like it was just another thing...I was so impressed. She asked me if I wanted to see a mental health professional, and I told her no, and my reasons why, and my fears, and she said okay, we didn't have to, no big deal, she was just curious, and wanted to make sure if we DID want to, we knew it was available. She asked me if she'd met any others, and I told her no, and she asked if they let her know if she ever does.

I can't believe what an incredible experience I had!

btw:
we made this. it's a slidey arrow, that points to all of us(we have a small system, so it's easy) so when we change, we can tell Jaysun(Rick's husband) who we are. He's all good with all of us, but he likes to know who he's talking to, reasonable in our eyes. Well, we do tend to find it akward, to announce ourselves each time we switch, it's just not fair for us to have to do that. So this makes it easier sometimes, because we can nonchalantly just reach up(it's near the bed, and that's pretty much the only place to sit in the room, except by the computer, and it's on the side of the computer desk)and move the arrow, so when Jaysun interacts with us now, he glances to see who's out.(And we've been good about keeping up with it, it's important.)

anyway, here's the pic w/o a link, incase.

It says our names in labels, I typed them to make 'em easier to see, and in the corner it says:

We created this slider to help out with knowing who we are all the time.
When someone's out, and they're able to, they move the sliding arrow, to their name,
and Jaysun(our husband) isn't as confused about who he's dealing with.

That slider is a good idea. If we had the skills, we've been considering making some kind of necklace that we could easily switch in some way everytime we changed. that way I wouldn't have to sneak around anymore.

I'd love your ideas. I know someone who makes jewellery who I'm going to be seeing soon, so I'm open to anything.

Good idea with the slider. That doctor sounds AWESOME. We're to afraid to see one again. The last one we went to looked at us like we were absolutely off the wall. :(
That necklace idea is cool too. We wear a lot of bracelts (the livestrong/be strong/hope rubber band type) that we have on all the time so maybe if we put rules down like if pink comes first it's Dani, Yellow is Riley, etc. Cool to think about.

That's actually a good idea. We were two bracelets constantly, one orange and white, the other red and blue. Having them swapped around depending who's out is a great idea.

Yup. We used to have different necklaces/pendants that we'd (try to remember to) wear depending on who was out to bat at the time. Not infallible, but it helped.

Luckily we've been with our partner for so many years now he is rarely if ever unable to tell who's in the body, without needing help.

1. MP Headache is caused by changes in cerebral blood flow as upfront personnel change (switching). Try feverfew herb -- it's a specific for migraines and lots of plurals say it works for MP headache.

2. Someone on this community devised a pin with people's names on it and an attachment with a little window you turn around to show the person's name who is out front. When we were in New Mexico, we discovered mini-license plate keychain charms with the names of three of our frontrunners and the name "Laura" which is our homeworld, so we bought those and put them on a necklace and wear it at work and other situations where people know we are we. You can special order any name or slogan, numbers are allowed so we can have KSOL1460, and I'll post the address when we get home if anyone is interested.

feverfew saved our backsides and health in college.. our migraines got so bad the health center pretty much had a dark room almost set aside for us.. (at a school of 20,000 students that's saying something.. a friend told us about feverfew... and it helped a lot..

I like the idea of the slider.. if our house was smaller it might be a good idea.. hmm.. might still make one of the wheel ones.. that way hubby has a clue

The doctor sounds awesome. :) Wish We had one like that heh.

And very cool slider. There are too many people in Our system for Us to do something like that I think. :/ We tried name-tags once, but sometimes it was hard because We often co-front, or just have random people pop up to the window and say/do something, then go back to just sitting back. Our SO(s) - also multiple - usually can recognize the main frontrunners, and if not, they just ask. Other people can't always tell Us apart though, so I wish there was some system (pardon the pun) for announcing who was fronting without having to say anything.

Slider is a good idea. But since there are only three in our system, we have three different necklaces: a dragon, a cross, and a tribal bone. The cross is mine. Sometimes we forget to change necklaces, or just don't wear one at all, so it really doesn't seem to work out most of the time.
