Random questions.

So, the other day I came up some questions off the top of my head.
-When you wake up in the morning, how does that work? Do you all wake at once, or one by one?
-Are any of your system members bilingual, or speak a language other than English and no English at all?
-How often do new members show up, or make themselves known?
-When one member is sick, or the body is sick, does everyone else get sick too?
If even a few people would care to satisfy my curiosity, I'd appreciate it. ^_^

Oh, Christ, we haven't had enough time to study everything we want to yet. Phonetics/phonology ended up being a joy to us (a surprise; we expected it to be a slog), but we're also interested in sociolinguistics and how the exact meanings of words shift from one language to another. (We're really, REALLY hoping that syntax will end up being more interesting than it seems.)

We mentioned Gaelic (one day, we will learn to call it Irish) because we'd like to learn it, so we were curious mainly about it's syntactical structure.

We're writing our thesis on the semantics of Russian verbs of motion,

*envy* That sounds fantastic. And Discourse Pragmatics... *envyenvyenvy* We're still working our way through the undergrad courses right now, so we're still learning.

As for semantics, oops. It's right next to the chapters on sociolinguistics in our book and we got them mixed up somehow.
