I have a silly question, and forgive me if it is awkward or scattered, but I am curious. I am part of Raziel system and only recently have had cause to front, to begin my own spiritual path. When I do front, however, I find it is sometimes difficult to manage the body. I myself am very poised and upright, but this body has been subjected to horrible posture for the longest time. Also, I find I lose balance on occassion. I was just wondering if any other's have had such or similliar experiences, and if so is it possible to mold the body into my mannerisms? I do hope I'm not being a bother, or posting inadequate questions. Thank you.

Sincerely,
~Rya

It depends on whether the bad posture is due to habit or due to abnormal spine shape. In our case, the body's spine was abnormally curved after 10+ years of bad posture, and no one had ever thought to take us to a doctor about it-- they all just thought we were too lazy to stand up straight. Even when people who ordinarily stood up very straight were fronting, the upper part of our back was still curved. We're working on it now with yoga and other exercises, but things like this take a while to fix-- the muscles need to get used to working in a different way.

Losing balance-- well, balance is something which can be developed, although there are many factors to it. You may want to get your inner ear checked out, since that can affect balance and coordination. It probably is possible to 'mold' the body, or condition it, so that it can move and stand more like you, but again, this isn't something which can be done overnight-- the body needs some time to get used to doing things it's never done before or hasn't done in a long time.

My experience is that a lot of systems have problems with people not being able to make the body do what they want or what they're used to. The scads of trashy dime-store "true stories" which imply that people in systems are somehow capable of doing anything they want with the body just because they "believe they can" did us no favours, and caused many systems to doubt their own reality and some to jeopardise their health and safety. It is true that "inexplicable" things do happen sometimes, but on the whole, encouraging people to attempts things which are beyond their (current) physical means, ignore illnesses, injuries or chronic health conditions, or discontinue treatment for same, because "the mind can do anything it wants," is a recipe for trouble. But... yeah, you're not alone.
