Hi everyone. This is Kali. A while back Cassie posted about an "entity" that came into our system a couple of times (click here if you want to re-read the post). The only community We got responses from was here and We thought we'd update you on what's going on.

"Rage," as we call this entity to make things easier, has come "swopping in" a few more times since Cass posted about it. But We were still not able to communicate with it. Last night (this is on topic *LOL*) We saw "The Mothman Prohecies." we've never seen it or even heard about it before. We might have come across the legend of mothmen, but not to our recollection. Well, when they showed a picture of it, it really freaked me out. That is Rage!!! After I realized this it came out as if to confirm this. It seemed like it wanted to communicate, but it was all grunts and screams from what We could tell. But We sat and listened, and after a while we "felt" what it was trying to say. It said something to the affect of "You know not what I feel. I know many things." That was all we could get before Lynn's fiance, Keith, notice We were staring and We had to pay attention to the movie. After the movie, Keith said "you know, that mothman looks like you described your entity to me." So that just made it more weird.

We have heard of soulbonds, but is it possible to have a soulbond with a character that you've never seen or read about? Also, another possibility. Cristie and Lynn are Empaths, and some of us have other Psi abilities. The movie said that mothmen, in legend, are entities that show up before a disaster. So Keith suggested that it may have showed itself to us because of the tsunami? The Entity showed up 11 days before it happened. And maybe it just now wants to stay in our system?

We are going to research mothmen to see if other things fit. We hope that if We do figure out what it is that it will reveal itself more - or maybe get tired of us trying to catagorize it and just tell us! *LOL*

So does anyone have an opinion on what it might be? Mothman, soulbond, both, something else?

We have heard of soulbonds, but is it possible to have a soulbond with a character that you've never seen or read about?

If you mean an "own character", a character who is not seen in the original source material you read and/or see, then yes. My whole soulbond system is made up of original characters who I write into my respective fandoms.

Thanks for the reply bekky, but that's not what I mean. The "thing" that Rage seems to be is mothman, a character from a movie that is also based on a real story, as well as some character of a legend (We are still researching this, tho). So its not a character that We have manifested through our writing, but yet it's not a character we've heard of or seen before. We are wondering if it's possible for a character that someone else wrote to come into our system, even if we've had no knowlege of such character before? Maybe I'm not being clear or explaining it too well. Ssorry, it's confusing to try to ask what I mean!

Mothman isn't a character, exactly

The book, the mothman prophecies, is a collection of bizarre phenomenon, and sightings, including a sighting surrounding the author of the book, John Keel, himself. The first scene in the movie references it, where he, dressed entirely in black, asked to use the phone. When the bridge collapsed, also referenced in the movie, it wasn't Mothman to who the catastrophe was attributed, but the author, John A Keel. The friends of the people who had answered the door, remembering their account of the strange looking man who asked to use the phone, concluded that Beezlebub had visited West Virginia.

The movie attempted to turn the book into one coherent story, but it's not. I'd recomment grabbing a copy of the book.

Not all people who have mothman encounters have heard of mothman, so I'm not sure why you feel that you'd have to see the movie to interact with anything which resembles Mothman.

Even if you don't buy into his existance, obviously, this is an image that has cropped up repeatedly in the human conciousness. Six feet tall, winged, hypnotic red eyes. It's a classic icon.

I think i know what you mean. There are some I beleive, in the soulbonding com? I'm sure i've heard word of them in there.

It always affects the way we are feeling. It feels like a "mood swing" in that it fills us all with this unwarrented anger and fear, but it is very real, We can *feel* the presence of another when it happens. This is new to us that We can remember. The only time there was something that triggered it was when Kali realized that the way it presents itself to us is just like in the movie. The other times we think it *might* have been a trigger of an impending disaster, but we don't really know at this point - onlt once do we know of a great tragedy that happened soon after, and that cud be a coincidence. I guess We lose control somewhat, as We get tense and really can't do much while its there. But if We all fight it, We are able to push it back.
