If you ask me, Myorp are right. I will not make excuses for any of the admins, but there has been serious lack of communication between our groups, which has resulted in a lot of things neglected that should have been attended to promptly.

This community is for people who want to discuss being multiple. You can talk about how you are multiple, learn from others how they are multiple similarly or differently from you, get advice or examples that might benefit your system. All without worrying about whether you are doing it "right" or having to live up to anyone else's standards. We're here to discuss being multiple, not to get into endless and useless arguments.

The bullying has to stop, the snarking has to stop, and the dropping of little innocent-seeming phrases that are really meant to put others on the defensive and cause lengthy and fruitless argument. All of that, out.

If you can't discuss multiplicity -- be it natural multiplicity, otherkin, soulbonding/fictives, MPD/DID, whatever -- in a courteous, civilized manner, you will be banned. God knows I don't like to be a hard ass about this stuff, but this has gone far enough.

I'm getting complaints from people who simply don't feel they can write about their experiences in this community. My guess is that there are plenty of others who have left quietly because they don't feel they belong in the community as it is now.

I am meeting with both the Fenners and Amorpha this evening to discuss exactly who, what and how.

Hey, um, I have a suggestion. You know these big, modly announcements about no bullying and policy....maybe it'd be a good idea to make them public? So people considering joining the comm but who haven't can see them.

I understand that makes it harder to have conversations in them, since public isn't as safe and I certainly understand why that can be a problem, but I think showing said policy posts to all is worth it. Discussions can always be continued in flocked posts; I've seen it before.

thanks for the public acknowlegement.

i'm glad things are happening and i really hope we weren't too blunt about things but this is more the reaction we were hoping for.

i do think that someone's suggestion in that thread that we posted on first was a good one: that whatever happens that it not mean sudden and permanent bans of people just because of their past actions but a clearly defined new rule-set that gives even people who have been very involved in the problems a chance to try to stay on in the new system.

we dunno if that will work and it's all up to you guys, but i hope whatever you all decide, that the results of your decision will be made public.

and sorry if we seemed pushy, we don't like to be but we felt like some direct bluntness was needed.

thanks again for you guys' work.

There aren't going to be sudden perma-bans. We still need to talk to [livejournal.com profile] sethrenn to discuss a final rule set and policy to work out how warning and banning will work. I've posted about it in the mods' community, and it's definitely being discussed.

What doesn't kill us makes us stronger. If we manage to survive this situation (and I'm sure we will!), this community will be even better than before. :)

I wanted to join this community, I thought the bullying and the snarkiness was getting out of hand. It's good that everyone gets to share openly without feeling like they will be embarrassed and that their information is going to be kept in confidence. I hope that one of my headmates is not responsible for the bullying either.
