Greetings, all!  I am Frank, a part of the front_or_back group.

What she failed to state about me is that I am, in fact, a vampire.  I am curious if there are others like me who wouldst share their experiences.  In particular, how dost thou control thine urge to suck blood?  I do realize that it is often inappropriate for me to partake of another's fluids, but I find it utterly difficult.

I used to be friends with someone who called themselves a vampire. He dealt with the urge by buying pig's blood. I do not know where you could find that though.

we have/had a few vampires within our group..
ways we've dealt with it.. um.. other than drinking human blood..
-invest in a really rare steak about once a month.. (hibachi restaurants are our friend!!!!)
-try to find enough energy sources other than blood .. (rock concerts, plays, any really big gathering of people can be an excelent source of energy if you can relearn how to feed that way)

hmm.. that's what we've found.. that I can think of right now, hope it helps

I'm technically a vampire. However that's part of my identity and form, not a this life energy thing, so any desire to bite people is just something I sit on. When I was learning to adjust to a human body, I found that milk and even orange juice were pretty good at not making me feel sick. It took some time before I could move onto different drinks and finally food.

If it's an energy thing, there's a lot of websites about it. It's very personal when it comes to what works for you.

Oh, hello Frank. My name is Katharina, but you can call me Kathy. I am a vampire, too, and while I don't get the desire to drink blood while using this body, I do get urges to bite people. Which is of course utterly inappropriate, except in the case of the host's boyfriend, when it is somehow even more inappropriate. This may sound ridiculous, but I've found that chewing gum or toffees helps with this. Or biting an apple. Also, I tend to focus on the good things that inhabiting this body brings with it to mellow my urges - how nice it is to walk in the sunshine, or how good certain foods taste.

- K.

Cranberry juice can make a really good substitute for blood, although I still keep a stash of blood inside. I generally don't get the urges as bad outside, although sometimes I do have to stop myself when I'm getting desperate.

I think Anna copes by tipping red food colouring into water so she tricks herself into thinking it's blood. That stops her cravings for a bit.

I found out meat helps, in times I can get that form of nutrition in, otherwise going with milk and some form of soups... Though, at 'those times' I usually can't get anything reasonable inside the body, so perhaps I'm not the most competent person to answer on this.

I'm smoking and not minding it so much, just concentrating the attention with some things different if it goes, it bits of just is that thing on attention... One can just make themselves not be thinking of it, just, it's taking harder job to do...

Someone else'd comment they just hide from front.

There are many in our group who might be considered vampires in the traditional sense. I am not altogether familiar with the typical feeding habits of vampires outside our own homeland, and can only refer to our own experiences.

We feed off one another. Blood, pain and fear give us energy. At the same time, we do eat "normal" food in this world on the rare occassions we find ourselves in it. I, of course, can only speak for myself when I say I find myself not as interested in feeding off this energy when I participate in this world.

I would wholeheartedly agree with the comment about enjoying a very rare steak once in a while. It's delightful in its own right. I wish I could provide more suggestions.
