Just a quick note: on Stargate SG-1, right now (SciFi channel), Daniel Jackson has Merlin's consciousness downloaded into his mind (giving him defacto 2 personalities). Just thought I'd drop that off right now...

Edit: also, Jack O'Neill was just talking to Jackson and said something to the effect of "just because you have his (Jackson's) memories doesn't mean you're him!" (XD)

Yeah--it's funny, he's all like this intelligent sweet straight man and then he has this dark side where he intentionally uses his intelligence to manipulate people, and doesn't listen to orders not in his own best interest...

and like in that one episode where he was playing the villain in the training scenario, and afterwards people were asking him why he wanted to do that (because I think he scared them a bit with his no-holds-barred playing of a Goa'uld [sp?])...XD He seems to approach these situations like a poker player...nobody knows what he's thinking, and he doesn't show his hand unless he has to.

Is it an oldie? Are you referring to Stargate SG-1 generally?

Tonight's episode was the one in which Daniel got turned into a priest for the Aurai, at the same time as he had Merlin inside his head (which apparently was from a past episode), and no one knew if they could trust him. I won't spoil the ending, but I thought the Aurai conflict was a new one, not a repeat (as SG-1 is ending)...I don't keep close tabs on television, though.

Ah , shoot. I was stuck at Mission volunteering, and no cable. I hope it repeats. I love Stargate SG I hope it repeats. My Mom is multiple,its hard to find good stuff on TV on mulitplness. I'm watching her Saterday News now but off to go to sci-fic channel for a Saterday marathon hopefully, of something.

I have watched SG-1 from the beginning and I really think they have an incredible way of approaching multiplicity. Daniel has had many personalities inside his head more than once and has done it wonderfully... they have always done it in a way that is believable but not overly dramatic (in my opinion)...

Daniel said Merlin could only stay for awhile longer because "no brain can survive with two minds" or something similar to that. I was like yeah Right! And someone just added, no of course not it takes more than two to survive! Apologies to anyone in a duad, nothing personally we just think it's funny that line.

SGA they had something similar - McKay ended up with Cadman's mind stuck in his body with him. They fought like cat and dog, for comedy effect, but interestingly enough she did actually help him while she was in there.
