Oh, Christ, we haven't had enough time to study everything we want to yet. Phonetics/phonology ended up being a joy to us (a surprise; we expected it to be a slog), but we're also interested in sociolinguistics and how the exact meanings of words shift from one language to another. (We're really, REALLY hoping that syntax will end up being more interesting than it seems.)
We mentioned Gaelic (one day, we will learn to call it Irish) because we'd like to learn it, so we were curious mainly about it's syntactical structure.
