Introversion/Extraversion
Mar. 11th, 2007 02:06 amWe were having a discussion about this and realised something odd. Between us we have one introvert, one who's fairly balanced, and two extraverts. Overall, however, we're introverted. We can only spend so much time in company before we need some solitude, some time with just each other.
We were wondering: how do you come across overall? ie, is your singlet-face introverted or extraverted? And how does this compare with the personality types of individual system members?
(Also, because we think it may be relevant: do you have a head-space, and is your real/most important life here or there?)

Date: 2007-03-11 03:12 am (UTC)I've read some characterisation somewhere of introverts as people that may be quite outgoing with the outside, it is a matter of measure of sharing personal thoughts that makes them introverts- if I am going by this, I think even the "seemingly extrovert" kids are introverts in fact.
I do not consider myself any good at psychology's theories so it's just total babble nonsense now.

For those of us who front on a regular basis, they're equally important. We know that we can't neglect one for the sake of the other. But for those who dislike fronting, they'll tell you quite quickly that the our world is much more important to them than the outside world.

Date: 2007-03-12 02:33 pm (UTC)We kinda have a headspace. I don't really think of either as 'more important'. I think of out here as like mom's work, and inside as home. Kinda works for me right now.

Date: 2007-03-13 11:25 am (UTC)As for the headspace, I find it interesting that the two who are extroverted are more concerned (or at the very least equally concerned) with life outside than life inside. Though really I, the original, am the only one that doesn't really "live" inside.
