Hey guys!
We were just wondering what happened to the 'Positive Plural Survivor Community' idea that
standingstone was posting about earlier? It's been a month, and since this post we haven't heard any updates on the concept. Is
standingstone still planning on founding a community? Has there been any changes to the proposal for it? We really think it's important that a group like this is founded for those that need it in the multiple community.
Thanks,
David and co.

Date: 2006-09-17 02:23 am (UTC)they're not obliged to make it just because a couple of people said they'd *join* :P If other people feel passionately, I'm sure they're free to take up the idea.

Date: 2006-09-18 01:13 pm (UTC)there not obligated no, but if they want to make it they shouldnt not do it just cos there isnt gonna be 100 people yet.
so far theres 29 people who said yes. thats a lot of people. i think its enuf to be active. 15 said yes theyd join and i bet if the 15 were active then some of the 16 maybes would join to. and other people who didnt see the post who found the community somewhere else.
but i dont wanna make it cos i dont realy know how to do it and i think it would be hard to make a community and i dont know what rules to make or how to make people obey and if its your community you probally have to read everything and i dont like reading scary stuff all the time, stuff that makes me remember. sometimes its ok and mom says doing it a little bit at a time will make me heal. but if it were my community id have to read stuff not a little bit at a time but a lot at a time.

Date: 2006-09-17 02:25 am (UTC)I saw discussion regarding that some didn't want a community that was completely *anti* psychology, I wasn't sure what came from it.

Date: 2006-09-18 01:22 pm (UTC)but if you wanted a gay frendly community you would want it free of "you should become straight cos its a sin" but you wouldnt want it "anti heterosexual". you can make a community thats not anti gay without making it anti hetero. so you can make a community that says some people do it this way some people do it that way some therapists are good some therapists are bad. thats what i think. it could be neither anti integration nor pro integration. you could say this comm isnt about integration so if its good for you good if its not good for you good but you can talk about that somewhere else cos this is a ptsd place.

I probably couldn't join because 'typical' trauma induced systems aren't people I can even vaguely relate to, much as I'd like to work out my own issues.
