Well, I guess everyone feels about the same as I do when it comes to admitting multiplicity. Luckily I've got open minded friends out here, and we're able to joke about it now and then.

On the flip side of the coin, though... hypothetically speaking, what would you guys be more loathe to admit to a group of relatively unknowns than being multiple? First thing that comes to my mind would be criminal past, but I'm interested in seeing the creative responses to this one. ;D

but it wouldn't be a loathing.. more of just feeling hesitant..

Having spiritual beliefs at all. - Kat

The fact that I ..am a purple gorilla. - Es, shapechanger
[..Wearing a black miniskirt. Sometimes I think that's where you store your sentience; the critter wearing it is just a cute accessory. - Kat]
[BODY SNATCHERS! :D

Though, in general, we're not keen on telling 'relatively unknown' people anything at all. If they ask a question, they'll get an answer, but we make sure that they don't get enough information to ask questions that we'd mind responding to.

I would be loathe to reveal the *reasons* for my multiplicity. 10 years worth of therapists and only one has any clue...

First thing that came to my mind would be having AIDS. I dont, but if I did, I dont think Id want people to know unless it was people I was really close to and knew I could trust implicity. If only because some people are still morons about how it is transferred and think sitting next to someone will "make me catch it."

The little fact that we're transgendered.

The fact that we would wish to change the body's gender from female to male. Where we live, this would not be well received at all.

Definitely gotta go with the trans reason - although we live in the Bay Area so it wouldn't be a huge issue.

I've gotten more shit for being polyamorous than for being multiple. And am less out about it.

Uh. I guess being fictional or whatever.

Stuff that isn't actually true, I sure as hell wouldn't want to come out as gay. No way, no way in hell.

Which actually goes against what I said before I just remembered.

That's me being logical vs me spazzing out because I sure as hell don't *want* to be gay.

In all reality, I dunno. Not much really.

I really can't think of something true about us we'd not admit, with exception to around those who could have our children taken from us.

Anything which attaches us to reality, making our presence there dependant on it, rather than merely travelling through it on occations. But then they first have to know our true selves.

Some aspects of my/our personal history that we sure as hell aren't mentioning here.

Other than that, I'm none to keen on the idea of having to explain why "I" have a male fiance. I identify as lesbian. He is engaged to her and is a good friend to me.
