Head injuries

Has anyone else here had a head injury and had it affect their system in some way?

Since ours, I'm no longer co-conscious with the remainder of the system, and I've been losing time badly.

Yes, we had a pretty serious one in high school and it did affect in-system communication (as best we can remember; we weren't as a group selves-aware but some people could tell the difference). From the external indicators I'd say people were losing a /lot/ of time (we had trouble with grades, etc., for the rest of that year). I wish we'd known to leave notes for each other, etc.

No, but head injuries are nothing to treat lightly. Did you get proper medical care? Did they perhaps prescribe medications to be taken while you recover? As Shandra points out, a head injury alone can indeed disrupt things, but medications are particularly notorious for interfering with communication and awareness.

No, I didn't seek medical attention (I was fronting when the injury occured) - I can't deal with another medical bill. We're on no new meds.

We did once, but that was before we had evolved into many. We were but a lost child then, so it's hard to know what impact it could have had on us.
