We are currently having a stormy relationship with the body's birth mother. She doesn't even see us as anything she should discuss, said that we are merely the birth self's coping mechanism, and refuses to even acknowledge the possibility that we are human beings. In order to keep from getting into trouble, we've pretended to be the birth self, who is sadly deceased. However, in a Council meeting last night, the leader decided that that pretender phase is going to end. We don't know what to do, and are quite simply lost.

Not pretending doesn't mean you need her to pay attention to it. If she is stupid about it then just ignore her, simple as.

Just get "interested" in something else - something that better fits the majority of you. Go goth, start doing community theater, learn ballroom dancing. It doesn't matter what so long as it's a "new start" at least in your parents' eyes.

The teenage years are supposed to be about "finding yourself" and "experimentation".

I first realized my multiplicity in my early 20's when i did
ultramarathon running races. In the course of races longer than
50 miles and in 50 mile races that were difficult - all of us
would come out to help.

At that time i shared it with my mother and she was horrified.
She said that i did not have the needed trauma. Oddly enough
she appeared to be multiple as well.
