Sorry for another post but we were wondering if any multiples had any poetry we could read? We'd appriciate the inspiration for our project, art too.

no, seriously. Our poetry, in stages:

Age 5: adorable and precocious
Age 7-8: still precocious, kind of tediuous but very cute.
Age 9-10: stupid
Age 11-19: depressing wank of the sort that every depressed teenager writes, which every adult (once they've stopped being a depressed teenager) goes and looks back at their own writing and tries to prevent themselves from sending it through a paper shredder.
Age 20-21: got some common sense, stopped writing poetry, started writing pr0n.

found a fwe that suck a little less, plus one prose (very short) story about being multiple written when I was first getting my head around the idea of being multiple. (i was kind of late to thep arty, the others knew a long time before i did. i thought i just heard voices.)

but anyway, i'm not about to post any of them in a public entry where google can access them, but if you want to email us (pthalogreen at livejournal) or if you want to give us your e-mail address, we can send you a few.

Are you speaking about poetry written by multiples, or poetry recommendations? I can recommend lots of poetry, although it isn't about being multiple. And do stop apologising for posting -- the community is here for you as well as everyone else.

Poetry by us?
Poetry about multiplicity by us?
Poetry by another multiple?
Or just poetry by multiplicity about any multiple?

I write poetry all the time. It mostly circles depression though... Not sure how inspiring that could be. Others write happy and/or sad as well... What kind of stuff are you looking for?

yeah hey are you the artist? the chicks wondered into a journal we thought was way cool and I think it was yours You draw real greatif it was.

Ok all the chics and us two guys are multiple. Allthe chicks write poetry. They have Mega collections , there just starting to post in the Lj journal, its there for the taking ,you may have to stroll back a little. Unless it says copy rights to Tiea then you can have it and we think they did not post and copywritten stuff. They post there throw away poems except Elaine posted a poem called "Missing In Action " that was not completed it was just random thoughts about being missing and missing time so its not complete. So they fit you definition

Multiples writing about multiplicity

I'm neither multiple nor a poet, but I've been reading the archives here a bit and there's quite a few people who have posted poetry in the past, if you're willing to dig a bit.

One heart, one mind, one soul
three thoughts, part of a whole
.....

then kinda trailed off like she couldn't remember the rest... or just pain forgot what she was saying

I don't remember who wrote this, but I'm pretty sure it was me:

[Untitled 1/8/04]
Explore our mind
my being isn’t
always home
in here
I want to take off
to leave the walls
to be locked out
or locked in
only to open
the stitches that
contain our blood
to flow free of flesh
in anther here and now
skin peels away as
time continues.
I reveal my own design
to threaten the force
of what you are
But what in vain
cannot be done
to expose myself & ourselves
to change myself & ourselves
eventually nothing can sustain
splintered enamel
of our bones
create backwards
reaching for the end
in which we are alone

prose is a good thing. we get hung up on essays and reviews and short stories and novels. So its a good thing you can write like that.
We think we think like we write or visa versa in bits and pieces so thats why poems for us.

We have a few poems in our livejournal

We do art as well, here is some http://www.thebest3d.com/dogwaffle/dotm/jenai/

Our pen name for some things is Amonite, but Jenai's mother gets upset with her for using it and not her 'real name' (she does not know we are a multiple)

[livejournal.com profile] ikeru, a system-mate of mine, has written a few multiplicity-related things. Most are specific to our system or another system we know, though. This (http://www.livejournal.com/users/ikeru/99106.html) is one that was composed to a specific tune he had in his mind, about what it might be like to be in different bodies.

I write poetry now and again, but so far nothing about being multiple.

The Doctor thinks he has a right
To be obeyed forever
But were I only out of sight
I'd take my fill of pleasure.

Calomel, Tartar and Gamboge
He deals me out good measure
Could I the dose to him infuse
Would be to me a pleasure.

Blisters and Drafts he makes me wear
For days and nights together
Oh! had I wings to take me where
I could enjoy some pleasure.

I'd range the woods, the fields and plains
And visit friends at leisure,
Would spare no labor and no pains
Could I but have my pleasure.

My liberty I ever prize
As an exalted treasure
But oh, the Doctor thus deprives
Me of my greatest pleasure;

To Church he says you must not go
For there is too much pressure
Wherein then I would like to know
Have I one real pleasure!
