newbie yay.

Um...I'm Otherkin, basically. A shapeshifter/chameleon/whatever I dunno.
And then there's a_the_nephil, who also insists that she's my Otherkin-self. I don't know what to make of her sometimes.
Aaaand I also have like eleventy headvoices/soulbonds (I think the last count had about 270 that are currently active). Which is interesting. They talk in my greatestjournal account (phoenix_rush). Which is mostly 'owned' by a few very rather talkative headvoices.

I've had one friend ask me if I was Otherkin (to which I replied "...um."), as well as my mom (who didn't understand the concept at all, and though it was omg Ebil Magick or something). So yeah, I don't talk about it much IRL. In fact, I don't talk much about anything IRL :D. lolz.

I'm just your average college student. I write and draw and read and fangirl and listen to music and all that stuff. I like dinosaurs and dragons and fantasy and anime and video games. And most people get all 'wtf' at me when I try to explain that yes indeed, I'm actually a rather conservative Christian. Conservative, not intolerant. u_u

That's about it. My life atm consists of me beating my computer into submission, homework, and watching my pet snake zoom around his tank. The end.

Nice to meet you . I just wondered what makes you describe yourself as a Conservative Christian and Tolerent . I've been a Christian my whole life and am a Liberal but found myself in many intolerent Churches that did not even claim to be conservative who definatly did not consider multiplicity normal . In fact they thought our inside voices or people were deamons and tried to extract us and be rid of us through starving , locking us up, prayer pushing us over and no sleep .

If you decide you want to look for a Church You may want to try a Universalism/Unitarian Christian Approach if you want to meet people then you can stay TOLERENT . I say this cause you say you are a normal college student and a "Otherkin / Shapshifter Camilion" and quite conservative christian girl . You must know most people do not consider thisok all in the same paragraph .. But I totally know what you mean

We were listening to Nichole C Mullen " My Redeemer lives ...as I read your post . With some "Conservative Christians " Nichole would be considered contemporary christian and too secular too listen too. A No No . Please if you seek out a Church Just be careful who you share your intimate details with. They may not consider it normal. We found out the hard way young and trusting . We are thankful for this safe place to be who we are. I mean that I tend to be very old-fashioned in my views (I don't agree with various New-Agey type things that seem to be creeping into Christianity, I don't agree with sex before marriage, I don't agree with things being okay just because they're 'natural' or 'they aren't hurting anyone else', I bend my views to match what I percieve as God's will, not the other way around, etc), but I don't have a problem being friends with people who have opposing views.

Conservatism and intolerance do not need one another to exist. I know many liberal people who are extremely intolerant of others (I had to live with one this past summer...ugh. It sucked.).

I'm actually United Methodist, with some Lutheran and Catholic leanings. Mostly adopting the Lutheran stuff because that's pretty much what you find out here in South Dakota. And the Luthern Campus Ministries people here are awesome :}. But that's another topic.

You wouldn't believe how many people I've met who get all in a huff because 'omg headvoices and Otherkinism can't possibly fit with Christianity!1' But I've yet to find solid proof that it can't. :}

I think what you're thinking of in terms of the music thing is more of a Fundementalist Christianity than conservative. I have run into many fundementalists, though, and that's definitely not the faith I follow.
And generally, I'm not in the habit of talking about Otherkinism and headvoices with random people IRL. It's just not something I feel should influence my interactions with other people. For myself, anyway (obviously, for other people, it's a huge deal, and if that's how they want to live, that's fine with me :}).

As far as the computer goes...the only thing that's worked lately was having the hard drive wiped and reinstalling Windows. But that was a last-ditch measure, and only done with the help of a computer science friend of mine :D;.

what do you mean? you go all over soulbodning with your 'adventures' in soulboding, you made it sound like friends at college treat you all as one big group, or was that chatting session "all in your head"?

Its fun to have traditional lifestyles, like being Suzie home maker, being a baby factory for your husband, doing what he says..fun stuff. lets go back 70 or more years.

yes it is horrble that Christanity is changing, from what I heard people are stearing anway from Jesus's teachings. But its going to be a dark day when we rewrite the bible to Ok soulbonding or otherkin.

head voices? thats like channling? mediums...aren't they like? "not what God likes?"

I NEVER said anything about having that kind of lifestyle, I said I had conservative viewpoints, which are an entirely different subject. I don't appreciate you slighting my religion, acting like the only things us conservative women can do are being homemakers and baby machines, I can't understand what the freak you said in your first paragraph, and I'm just generally fed up with the tone of your comments. Maybe you don't realize this, but I've told you before--you are coming across as an extremely snooty know-it-all who puts down others beliefs.

I'll tell you this: I am getting fed up with your comments in reply to things I've said. So either shape up the tone or stop talking to me. please. I know this is a community, not my personal journal, but this is really getting on my nerves.

Thanks for explaining . Well yeah most conservative fundementalist or even liberals are going to be Omg when you mention otherkins or shapeshifters . I totally undertasnd what your saying about stuff creeping in on Christianity too..

A couple years ago Richerd Roberts Oral Roberst son was into Holy Spirit laughter and really pressing it on his show on TBN Trinity Broadcasting Network many said it was New Age and it was and it also was Christian Cause Spirit is Spirit.

I just wanted to remind you considering yourself a otherkin would be being totally a new agey thing in most Churches other than Universalisam thats why I mentioned it .

I can see what you mean about Old fashioned values . I think its great that you seek that out and it works for you as long as your happy .

This is a wonderful place to explore being a otherkin and still a Christian too. You can be totally who you are. No hassles . I just was kinda tring to warn you cause we were I guess nieve while in Church feeling "all the love and fellowship " and shared we were multiple and Yikes it changed our life forever . But it sounds like you really our aware of where to share and where it may not be safe .

And Ahhh You said the magic word Windows Hey ... we've had to wipe are hard drive twice since we went highspeed . When we were dial up we had no problems but we do get frozen now and again snce August going braod band . Do you go to Internet Options and delete your cookies and delete temp files and history when you get off each session time? If not we found that helps especially when surfing on the web allot, it wipes out that history of sites we visited . Also adding adware and spybot helped as well as a good firewall and two anti virus . We do a defrag of the disc once a week and a complete systems check recently once a week too keep all clean . Weekly System scan

We also do not download allot of snmillys and icons and screen savers it just mucks up the computer .. We know Smily Central is from Computer Hell as cute as it is , it took forever to get uninstalled .

Yep I have a Computer friend who keeps me running too, cause I am not very techy at all .

Also yes I would believe how many so called Christians get all in a huff about voices and otherkin , because they can only perceive it as to be what they do not understand and that can not be Christian .

I dont have the links but Astraea web page has some wonderful links about otherkin s . I'll look for them , they helped us. I just can't find them now I thought I put them in my favorites but alas I did not . Anyways some of the people from Astraea I think may be the maintainers here and they have lots of info on Shapeshifters/otherkins and multiplicity and our generally very helpful.

I wish you well in all you do . Its great your Mom is at least asking , and trying to understand . I think thats a big plus and even to have a friend ask .. Support is the best thing and education is Power and key.

I try to delete internet temp files and cookies and stuff about once a month. Because I'm lazy :D.

And...eh, I dunno if I'd call what my mom said as 'trying to understand', but it hasn't come up in several months, so maybe she's forgotten about it ^^;.

We have very little information on soulbonding, shapeshifters or otherkin, as a matter of fact. You may be thinking about Jay's contributions to Wikipedia's article on walk-ins. But we are acquainted with dinogrrl from soulbonding, which we were members of for a time.

Funny thing is, I never think of myself as being 'multiple' or 'plural'. >> It's...just me, my Otherkin-side, and then the headvoices. It never occurs to me to put them all together in a plural form XD. Or whatever. *confuses herself*
