Introductions
Oct. 10th, 2005 11:50 amHello.
Um, this is a community that my girlfriend told me about when I started dealing with having more than one psycho in my body. I thought I'd join to see what's up.
Name's Ben. Guess you could call me the "frontrunner" or whatever. I like to think I am the original owner of the body, although we're starting to work a different deal out to be fair to all of the others. I don't write a lot when I'm new to something, so please forgive the short sentences.
meirya has already touched on my group, or system, or whatever. They'll probably come out to say hi at some point. Just for the record, the group consists of myself, Edward, Gaarik, Mikhail, and Karan. Anyone else is either a channeled being or hacking my LJ ;)
Just to let you know where I'm coming from, I work with kids as a school bus driver, so I REALLY hope I'm not crazy, because I like my job. I'm Gnostic-pagan, and I primarily work with the Norse deities. I recently attempted to integrate all these personalities together. Since some of them were archetypal/dissociative, it partially worked, but the ones who are really separate eventually broke loose again (and rather painfully, I might add).
There's a term I use a lot, called disco-ing (coined by
meirya). Up to this point, I used to do it a lot, for short bursts. It indicates where there are a lot of personality shifts in a short amount of time, usually happening when everyone has something to say or when I was fighting for control. It still happens from time to time.
That's about it... *continues skimming posts*
