Hey

So I really think it must have been like multiple week or something for tv shows or whatever. So we were watching Medium on NBC Monday night. The synopsis for the episode says nothing about the whole DID topic but it was totally snuck in there and we'll take Robert Oxnam media representation any old day than the crap we saw on Medium. Okay so like it could have been worse with Medium but still it just like irritates us.

So here's the deal. The main story line was something totally different but like there is always some legal crime thing that's got to be solved or whatever and so they stuck in this dude that had murdered his mother violently and he was like claiming he had MPD/DID. So they have Allison check the guy out to see if he was for real or whatever. So like they're watching him and the prosecutor is like wanting to talk to the other "personality" that killed his mother and so they have this ridiculously violent insane crap show up as if the dude has MPD/DID and this is what his other "personality" is like. Okay, whatever. Oh yah and the end of seeing the other "personality" Allison like thought he was for real cuz the dude scared her but she got this series of numbers in her head and so she wrote them down. So eventually the prosecutor finds out that it's a bank account and this dude who killed his mother had given like half a million dollars or something like that to this psych dr. who basically taught him how to pretend to have DID and dx'd him and crap like that.

So why was this crime crap brought in? What was the point of that when the main story line was something totally different, although about psych ward and psychic stuff too in a separate deal. Because the lawyer for this dude was the lady that was connected to the main story line. So if ya ask us there was no reason to have this depiction of DID and crap. I mean they could have picked and came up with any old crime deal to have this lawyer in so she could be carried through the freaking show with the main story line.

Ya know what we think? We think that since the whole deal with Robert Oxnam had been on like the day before on CBS and so then NBC was like oh yah we got to have something about DID in here too. And okay so like they end up showing the guy was totally faking DID and so the deal is somebody with DID didn't murder somebody like usual past media hype but it just annoys the crap out of us. We still think like maybe it sets it in people's minds and so they like will associate it in some way. Either total fakes or murders or whatever. We're so tired of multiples being like all shown as murdering other people or committing crimes or whatever like that.

Oh yah, so ya know, we said MPD and DID and personality and all that jazz cuz that's how it's like referred to in the media.

So that's our rant for today. We couldn't find anything about it the other day on the web except for their synopsis that didn't say nothing about the whole DID crap in it. But I swear we saw it.

Heather Locklear regards that film as one of the best of her career, which about sums up what we think of her.

If someone would like to write a cohesive review (not just description) of this film they can submit it to Pavilion's media library (http://www.karitas.net/pavilion/library/library_media.html).

By the way, we can have more than one review of something there -- there are two reviews of Set This House In Order for inst.

yeah Maybe it was Heather Lockhlers best remebered and hardest role but look what it did for the community of multiple? it even I just remebered had her threatening her T with a gun what I dont know is was this based on a true story or not? . I would be glad to look for a video of the movie I think I may have taped it at the time ( now I just hope someone labeled it) but if we saw it again Christina would write a good revirew she's the writer I just free float, when on Are you serious about Heather thinking that was her best role yet ? and you too ...? well in hindsight it probobly was her most challenging role I just never got the having to totally breakdown and trash ones life before the work could begin and if anyone did half the things she did the kids would have been removed we know for a fact It makes me sick we would be glad to write a proper review and submitt it to Pavillion Peace Tiea

That is indeed what we heard; that she believed that unrealistic piece of crap to be one of the best roles of her career. It was in a television interview about a year ago.

I didn't say we thought it was good; I said it about sums up what we think of her. In other words, that she's not much of an actress and her films are not worth watching. If even she thinks that's the best she can do, then we've been right about her all along. One magazine called it a "big mess of over-the-top stupidity".

Send your review to pavilion at karitas dot net. Thanks!

I cant believe we were just talking about this movie we saw three years ago and it was just on life time now this must be mpd/did week on TV and magazines Hey maybe we should have a Day o a awareness day is what I mean like a "plurality Day" only problem is I can just see the press comparing us to a star trak convention dont mean to hurt feelings but ya no they would and who would want to out themselves unlesss we made it for signifigant others and families nay never mind bio families they dont get it most times either anyways it was fraeky to be thinking about that movie " Shattered Minds " and have it come on I caught it half way through on channel 410 Lifestyle Movies which means it will be repeated seeing it after all these years I think it does really a beter job of showing PTSD than Multiplicity though so in that way it is good I'm thinking about writing a review I wish I knew if it was true if there is a book and what or who produced the movie or something when in doubt goggle it to death and I will, seeing it again I will say it probobly IS the BEST DRAMA Heather Lochkler has ever done but it is a high drama performance filled with the extremes of the so called "disorder"once agin until she is able to hear others speak within her and she colapsses after almost dying three times and abrvicates with PTSD and hallucinates until she does that and recovers the memory of abuse thats the end when the T says "Now are work begins" its all so crazy for lack of another word and hopeless and extreme allot of trauma based multiples will identify with theT and the family of the muultiple Heathers characters and allot wont .

Oh well I still seriously cannot figure how to just go post in Multiplicity a new post I had to find the thread I was last on and then the user page with the pencil brought me to what I last wrote we are all really slow but I think catching on its just hard to get back to the most up to date pages and join in converstaion. ...I'm having a bit of difficulty with the way you formatted this entry so I'm not quite sure I understood everything accurately, but I THINK I know where you're having a problem. You don't post to the community from the community journal- you post from your OWN journal. Try going to your LiveJournal homepage, click the pencil and type up an entry as if you were posting to your own journal, and then select "multiplicity" from the drop down menu. Your post should appear here as a new topic.

As for the multiple_bdsm community, it sounds like you can't post there yet because your membership is still pending. You're basically in the "waiting room" of the community- LJ sees you as a member because you already have your foot in the door for applying to join, but they haven't let you in yet, so you can't actually post. There's really nothing you can do about that one way or another until the moderators decide whether or not to accept or reject you. If they've been taking a really long time about it (ie, over a week or two) and you think they may have forgotten about you, you can try contacting one or other of the mods by leaving a polite comment on their personal journal. In general, it's better to just apply once, since the moderators get an email every time you apply- on there end, your repeated applications might feel as if you're going "am I in yet, am I in yet, am I in yet?" If you decide to ask them on their journal about your membership, you may want to mention to them that you didn't understand that aspect of the system. Knowing that you weren't trying to pester them may make all the difference.

Oh, and another thing that might help you communicate more effectively on the livejournal system- there's a spellcheck option. Below the little box where you're typing up your post, there should either be a "Preview" button or a "check spelling and preview" tickybox. If you use those, it'll show you all the spelling errors in your post (although it will sometimes see words and especially names as spelling errors, so you can't trust it completely). If you spellcheck and keep your sentences from running together, it not only makes it easier for people to understand what you're trying to say, it also makes it more likely that your applications will be accepted- I noticed that the Multiple BDSM com is one of the ones that uses that as one of its criteria. That might be part of why your membership hasn't been accepted yet.

Edit: "IP Notice" means that the people in control of the journal in question, in this case, the community moderators, can see your IP address. That means that they can, to a certain degree, tell your computer from someone else's. It's mostly used to identify with people who are trolling while posting anonymously or using multiple journals- the IP is still the same so the mods know it's them. It's not fail-safe (some people have the same IP address, and some people have IPs that change often), but it helps. Anyway, I hope this helps and I'm sorry for getting a little longwinded.

And, er... I just now realized that I may have unintentionally come off as offensive there, and if so, I apologize. Your writing is at or above "readable" for me, but I was having a lot of trouble figuring out which part of the livejournal system you were talking about at several points. People having less than impeccable syntax and spelling doesn't bother me so long as it's understandable... though I still respect the rights of people like the Multiple BDSM mods to hold their communities to a higher standard if they so choose.

Good luck at getting in to the comm you applied to, and at getting the hang of LJing. Livejournal can be a little counterintuitive at first, but it's mostly easy once you get the hang of it.

How do I post in a community? (http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=76)

What is an IP address? (http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=66)

I have no idea what's going on in [livejournal.com profile] multiple_bdsm; we are not part of that community.

Anyone can join this community and there are no requirements. Well, other than that you not be a troll, but it's clear that you're not. You can read the community info at http://www.livejournal.com/userinfo.bml?user=multiplicity.

There already is a Multiple Personality Day: March 5. Mostly greeting card companies play this for laughs, but we could take it over and revolutionize the world.
