I stumbled onto an interview about multiples and their relationship with the illuminati, I knew I just had to read it. I thought others might find it somewhat amusing as well.
Excerpt:
"If you want to understand the Illuminati, you
have to understand that these people do not think like you or I.
In just one area alone, that is a large percentage of these people are programmed multiple personalities and just that in itself creates a whole different thinking pattern from those of us who are not multiple...It's really essential. If you are going to participate in the Illuminati secret life, being a programmed multiple is basic. There are a few in the Illuminati who aren't programmed multiples."

I think this guy should be on Coast to Coast.

Date: 2005-09-30 02:33 am (UTC)Ah, George/ Art / Long John. What would we do without those fellows?
If you wonder why I was so impatient with the Ted Owens thread a few months back, it had to do with an Art Bell interview with Owens' pigeon Jeffery Mishlove on Art Bell back in October 2000.
Owens, the self-styled "PK Man", was an irascible, alcoholic con man who claimed telekinetic abilities and contact with "Space Intelligences", which he evidently taught Mishlove to contact as well; and now, Mishlove is in a position to do the same for you.
People were were calling into the show with platitudes. A typical one said "All you have to do is suspend your belief, because belief systems limit the mind" [Sammy Coleridge is probably spinning in his grave..]. Mishlove responded, "Did you know that children who are physically and sexually abused develop dissociative disorders and they also develop psychic ability? So you have all these people out there who are mentally disturbed but they also have psychic powers. It's because what's happening to them is so horrible that they expand their consciousness and reach a fuller human potential."
The caller responded that "mankind has lost its divinity" and that they lost this at the time of the persecution of witches in Europe. Oh I see, so humans still had their divine nature before that, so things like Roman Circuses and the Visigoths and the 100 Yrs. War (incl. the Joan of Arc business) and anything else that happened before 1484 were okay. BLECH! John & Andy turned off the radio before I could out it through the window.

Date: 2005-09-30 02:38 am (UTC)"MC: Now as I understand this, this kind of breakdown of the personality is done out of trauma-based. And to disassociate means to survive as an entity, as a human. So the people break down into various fragments personality-wise to survive the pain of what they've experienced. Now that happens naturally also and also as we are reading...
"WB: Oh, it does happen naturally, yes indeed but it rarely happens naturally to say 20% of the people that experience it because you have to have a certain imagination and a certain intelligence level. All of the multiple personality people are extremely brilliant and very gifted in many ways. and then the MPD...which comes first the chicken or the egg? But then after you've developed this Associative Development Disorder, or MPD? as it used to be called, you develop incredible extrasensory perception and various other gifts, at least that's the way they describe it and experience it...."
Sigh.
While we're at it, Joan of Arc was not burned as a witch but as a relapsed heretic. No witchcraft was involved. They were after her for crossdressing. Even that was a red herring. They were really after her because among other reasons, she boosted French morale, believing her to be La Pucelle of prophecy.

Date: 2005-09-29 10:06 pm (UTC)Being programmed somehow into having something similar to a controlled MPd would be DAMNED useful in the Illuminati, yes.
But to be in the Illuminati, you have to be a damned good scientist and an athiest to boot, multiple is not part of the rulebook. Not to mention that programmed controllable MPd is not the same as being multiple.

Everybody knows that DID is extremely rare, and that the vast majority of people claiming to be multiple are only doing it to get attention.no subject
Date: 2005-09-29 11:21 pm (UTC)Earlier this year I watched a lot of it. I would IM one of my friends and say, "today on Star Trek, there was an episode where a political leader started seeing people who weren't there and they convinced him he should have KILLED THEM ALL, and then there was an episode with a girl who had an imaginary friend who was terrorizing the ship. And that was just today. Yesterday, there was an episode about a starship captain who started hallucinating about being a writer in the past, writing a story about a captain, and he starts going on about I CREATED THAT FUTURE, IT'S IN MY HEAD, IT'S IN MY HEEEEAD. And then there was an episode about a race that refers to themselves as 'we' because they all share each others' thoughts."
It was highly amusing.
This message was brought to you by Spike TV and their four Trek episodes per day, my roommate's acquisition of a digital video recorder, and my lack of a work ethic.

Date: 2005-09-29 11:51 pm (UTC)If we ever need a system name, 'Illuminati' would at least be amusing. Except that we're not scientific atheists -- pagans and agnostics, mainly, and except for a deep and abiding interest in chemistry (possibly because we got to eat icing sugar in class when we were meant to be making sherbet), we're more arty types than scientific.
Still, it makes you think... mainly that some people are so stupid it's a wonder how they cope with one person running the show.

Date: 2005-09-30 01:30 am (UTC)We were on a list once where this guy came in speaking in gibberish riddles. He claimed to be a cult deprogrammer and ended up convincing a number of people on the list that they were victims of mind-control cults. It was kind of sad.

Hammond's statements elsewhere indicate that he has fervently believed in these concepts for a long time. These texts are frequently reprinted on Christian anti-abuse sites and are still taken seriously even by some doctors and a good many multiples.
One of the reasons we were so circumspect ten years ago when we started our pages was that at the time, this was reality to so many online multiples that to question it was to proclaim your alliance with The Cult. We still get the occasional letter informing us that we were programmed by The Cult to promote the idea of natural multiplicity as a coverup.
