This might sound a little odd I guess, but we've always had three people in our system. We're just the three, the Trinity is what we call ourselves, but there have always been these OTHER guys there. I never thought they were part of the system really, since they never fronted, they would just always be hanging around our different inner worlds (I guess you can call them that?)

There are thirteen of them, and just yesterday, NIFTY, one of the girls of those thirteen, came out to the front for a while. The creepy thing is, I can't remember what she did while she was fronting! Between the three of us in the Trinity, we share the same pool of knowledge and we always know what each other did. But with these other guys, I guess they aren't connected the same way, because I don't remember a thing save for a few blurry images of sort of meaningless stuff. I and the other two can't remember, and the only way we can talk to the thirteen is by leaving the front and going into the inner world, and it just confuses me X_x

Truthfully, I don't want them fronting, because three people is confusing enough, and we'll have to make so many changes... don't in case they decide to, I'd like to be aware of what they do. All three of us would. Does anyone have any ideas or anything as to how I can strengthen the contact between these other guys? I think it's possible, since we've done it between just the three of us.

Our system works on a similar basis. The number of frontrunners is pretty small compared to the number of people who are 'hanging around' in the background and may rarely or never come out front. They're capable of doing so; they just don't seem to have the interest.

The person who came out may or may not have interest in staying up front on a regular basis. Sometimes people in here do it just to see what it's like.

Can you normally communicate with these people when they're hanging around but not at the front? Could you send someone from the front to where they live?

We have several who don't usually come near the front. We have a shared "memory pool" to keep track of things, and we've had a few times where people who usually don't decided to front and didn't know about the pool and so didn't use it. Talking with them has helped, most now use the pool.

Try talking with them, watching for twitches in the front when one or more of them are interested in what's going on, etc... If you have a journal or space where you leave each other notes, include them. Several of ours are much happier being listened to - they get what they want (time to admire that gorgeous harley or to go to the zoo, a favorite food, etc) without having to resort to grabbing the front and trying to do everything themselves.

We made a journal online. We made it to strengthen the communication between all of us. Since everyone always winds up losing the paper journals we buy. Don't worry though! We'll help strengthen the contact. And if you don't remember what one of us did while we were fronting, you can rest assured none of us have done anything crazy or anything like that :)
