(some of this was x-posted in our journal [livejournal.com profile] chezames, but the thought to yall wan't in there - it's the last paragraph in here.)

We posed the question of Rage possibly being a "mothman," or similar, to our [livejournal.com profile] empaths group. We tried to research this, but there is very little out there on the net, and most vary vague and only to do with the movie. So We thought that people into Psi stuff might have researched this. and We were right. a couple people had read the book that the movie was based On. But, unfortunately, the Mothman Prophecies movie had very little relation to the true story. There have been a sightings somewhere in the northeast of a creature that looks vaugely like a moth/human mix, but it wasn't associated with anything particulary bad other than scaring the crap out of some startled people. John Keel, the author of the book, did venture a *little* conjecture that the Mothman's appearances were somehow tied to the tragedy of the bridge failure, but it's hardly the focus of his book and it's merely a slight suggestion put forth toward the end. They definitely ran with it in the movie to make it more exciting. I hate when they do that, "base" a movie on a real story but don't realy tell that story - they embellish it.

Anyway, We still don't know "what" Rage is. So for now We'll keep calling it "Rage." It could still come around to warn us of something, it could be a lost energy or lost soul trying to find it's place, or it could be a person angry and confused. We kind of hold the theory that it's a soul (human or otherkin) that might have lost it's body and is scared, angry, confused, and/or just looking for a "home." We think it might be going from system to system (body to body?) to see where it feels comfortable.

It would be interesting to see if others have had similar "visits" since around December. To see if this soul finds a "home," to be able to talk to it in someone else's system. Just a thought :-)

I'm more or less singlish myself, and in a longtime relationship with six people in one body. So I'm looking for any resources for partners, and any pointers from others living in/with multiplicity...

Two issues are front and center for me: )

OK, a third issue. Most of our relationship problems have been related to a state they (my partners) call "liminal". Nobody is really in charge (no frontrunner) and the body's behavior becomes erratic, unpredictable, and unkind... also, memory losses/lack of accountability. I have learned to sense this state, and sense when the system is heading to that state (whoever is frontrunning becomes erratic and increasingly less coherent) and ask that either someone show up or else the system withdraw/journal/meditate until someone gets their act together to come forward. Lapses into this state are a cause for concern for all six people-- they are very motivated to avoid them.

One of my partners wanted me to ask about this, is the struggle with the liminal/nobody-frontrunning state familiar to any of you?? What are some of the factors that make this state worse and is there anything else (besides having me point it out, timeouts and meditation and journal-writing) that helps make it better? (A no-stress lifestyle doesn't seem to be in the cards!)

Thanks for any help--

Halcyon
