Children in Chat Rooms

I'm new to this community, and new to live journal in general. I've known I am multiple for a number of years now and have great communication, and feel that there are little limits to what the mind can do. The purpose of my posting is asking what you think about people who are multiple who let their system's children to come out to talk in chat rooms? Tonight I was watching in on a chat room where a child did come out and began chatting. I don't have many children in my system so my opinion is based upon just observation of others with no personal experiance. Is this such a good idea? There is no telling who they will meet online. What do you think?
