Medians?

Does anyone have information about median/midcontinuum experiences? I've been searching, but am mostly getting the same short blurbs from page to page - the two links I've found that look like they might go to larger pages are both either down right now or totally defunct. :\

Also, I ran across something that suggested these terms are looked down upon in the online multiple community. Is this true? If so, why?

Thanks in advance for any help!

My understanding of why people object to "midcontinuum" is that not everyone is comfortable with the spectrum-of-dissociation model -- as it is in part rooted in pathologisation of plurality, and partly because some of us medians aren't 'midway between singlet and plural' on a linear scale but differently plural.

I know there used to be some decent stuff on medians on the Pavilion Hall site, but I can't find it right now, possibly 'cause we're stoned off our collective ass on cold medication.

The guy& who were tending to that lost interest. Pavilion has been under continual slow revamping for a year or so. What we'd like is an essay from you [livejournal.com profile] lilairen on your median experience -- yours seems to be closer to the mark.

I'll see what I can put together. Not having much luck with the coherence at the moment (stupid Drixoral), but I think I can do something decent when I'm not drugged. Can almost see the outline of a structure for the writing.

I've got a draft done -- we'll run it by a few people and have them point out where it's completely incoherent and then send it to you. (Where would you like it sent?)

([livejournal.com profile] beandelphiki, this'll probably be the sort of personal perspective thing you're looking to see.)

Hi. *waves*

Ask me questions. I can't promise ours is a completely normal experience -- then again, whose is?

*grins* Oh, yeah. Hear ya loud and clear there... History's so boring without the personal stories, innit?
