I'm a little embarrassed to pose this thread, but as we've learned more and more about other systems, we've noticed that we seem to be the only system we know without a 'dreamstate'.
we've heard ppl describe wonderful sounding cities and worlds and things that sound so delightful.

we have nothing like this, two of our members have ever 'seen' anything in the head. our frog reawoke blind, and saw in the head a number of things which he's drawn that are very creepy. it reminds us of the evil boy's room from 'toy story'. once the frog learned how to use the eyes, he's not seen it since.
one of our dead, 'Tyler' sees us. we think maybe its what we look like inside. (its not particularly flattering, either).

anyhow, the point is that I want a fun, exciting, modifiable dreamplace! is that wrong? :o
can anyone say anything helpful?

I'd like to mention that we've got a theory that a personality we don't know has ownership of our normal nighttime dreams which we nearly never remember. trying to 'access' our memories of dreams has the same odd 'feel' to it as trying to access our members we don't have good contact with.

thanks :P
Tia

You can make one. Many systems have no such place. There is no shame in making one. Doctors used to encourage it because it gave all the people a place to meet and talk.

We actually started out with no inner landscape.. It was something that we had to actually sit down and build.. Basically, we had Celeste come out, and basically just... start free writing. You know, one of those "Just sit down for 20 minutes and write on this topic" type things. She is really good at that sort of thing - just letting go and letting the words flow.

Once she had written down everything that came to her, it was like.. the blocks that were up and kept us from seeing the inner world started to come down. It still took a while before we could see it all the time, but now we've gotten to that point...

Our inner world is setup like a honeycomb. Room upon room, upon room. We have a common room in the middle, where we all hang out together, and it has doors leading to everyone's individual rooms, and a door leading to the "front" room. Our "front" room looks rather like a cross between something out of star trek and the ufo from flight of the navigator.

As far as I know, we didn't really have any kind of "world"...just the honeycomb. and even that we didn't really "see" untill recently...we only ever had a vague notion of what was here...like an opaque drawing, almost.

anyway, hope that helps.

We don't. You can always make one. Some of the kids have their own imaginary places. Some of them can share them with others, which is pretty cool. Several of us have some shamanistic training and use similar visualization techniques for other purposes.

As far as dreams go... we've got a trauma history. Several of our sleeping dreams remained "locked" from people who aren't ready to handle the content in them. I don't know if that is the case for you and yours, but consider treating the topic gently.

We don't have one either - but I also want one. It really feels like we're missing out.

We don't have one. We have worked to make one, especially for some of the more vulnerable and younger selves. So far not much success.

We have one, but we're still working out how to use it well. Besides, it's a creepy place IMO.

On the occasions we've been into it, neither of us really liked it. just a normal house, in normal British countryside, but the house was bare, which wasn't exactly welcoming. Outside was nice, except we were the only things there. There were no birds, nothing.

Creepy place. Not sure we even *want* to go back.

ghost haunts his own places within. One's a cemetery, the others are vague to me. Gabriel soemtimes haunts the cemetery as well, but for the most part, there's not any really defined 'dreamstate' within (other than the cemetery, which is mostly ghost & gabriel's place). Just a sort of quiet darkness.

We have an inner house that has a main front room, bedrooms for the individuals, several other common rooms/areas, and some doors to some getaway areas (the wolves have a forest, Adia has a whole world to explore by sea, Rhydan has "the Talaea") plus lots of hallways. There's a back, for those who haven't come to the front, and there's a Dark Back which is more like a dungeon for the Mutts when they aren't frequenting the front. Our inside is pretty simple comparitively (especially the Front/living room) and also fluid, sometimes vague even - but always changing. The living room is most often bare besides several couches and is usually brightly white, but everything about it can change - the size, shape, where the windows are/how many windows there are, etc sometimes randomly sometimes depending on if someone in the front feels like having a different perspective on what Our living room should look like. There is no outside that We have been able to find. One of these days We'll get around to "decorating" perhaps.

Most of it is just imagination I think. We didn't always have one, and couldn't always see and/or interact with each other. As co-consciousness strengthed, so did the image of an Inside. The inside was built over time. There are still parts of it that are dark and unformed.

Some people see the inside differently, a few still can't see it at all. There are also several that We think are trapped on some other plane on the inside and therefore can't directly interact with the rest of Us.

I have a "dreamscape" in which I imagine stuff with my Kin, but it's all my creation, the 'movie' I make for myself of the three of us. Kír doesn't percieve it, and he has no equivalent dreamscape; all his sensory perception comes from this body's physical senses. We don't know what Crist-Erui has, but it's possible that to him, the physical world is the Dreamtime, or that he makes no differentiation.

I'm coming in late on this, and I have a strange perspective anyway, but...the only one of mine that has a 'landscape', per se, is one of my littles, Janice, and she's also one of the most damaged. We don't hang out in her space if we can at all avoid it. I know things are very, very wrong when I open my eyes and I'm moving around in her house. She doesn't like visitors, she doesn't encourage them, and the house is as damaged as she is.
