Hi all!

I'm a singlet, and if no one minds, I'd like to hang around just to observe and learn. :)
My names Amanda, and I'm 18. I like chatting, so if anyone would like to AIM me (erospysche), thats cool.

And actually, I have a question. I have a friend who identifies (or used to..?) with otherkin, and used to speak of having 'owls' in her, who would speak to her. Is this somewhat like multiples? She hasn't talked about in a while, so I've chosen not to bring it up with her in case its a sensitive subject...

Welcome. A lot of people have animals or other nonhuman beings in their system. It's relatively common. There are a lot of people in this community that have that. There is such a thing as otherkin hosting where a person has several nonhuman spirits who have moved in and they coexist.

I'm otherkin, as is my host. I'm a vampire, my host is a dragon. 'Normal' animals also happen. It is possible these owls are spirit guides or totems as opposed to part of her system though anything is possible.

We have 3 foxes, 2 cats, a dog and a filly in our system, although we've never really looking into being "otherkin" I'm sure I've seen a community for it somewhere...
xx

I myself am feline, and we also have a goddess with us, and although she doesn't consider herself otherkin she definitely isn't human.

How do you know she's a goddess, or rather, what makes her meet goddess criteria? (no offense) What are you guys' belief systems, religiously, and does everyone know about the goddess?

Well she says she is, and I have no reason to doubt her. She says she's being forced to spend time in a moral body as a form of punishment, but doesn't have many memories from her life previously. We all have different belief systems, and our goddess doesn't claim affiliation with any religion.

We usually don't think of ourselves as otherkin but technically we are. With six (that we know of) exceptions, our entire system is nonhuman -- we're a gateway system from an alternative dimensional world. But we look just like earth people, the differences are in language and culture.

Our system is pretty varied. We have a cat (who's MIA at the moment) and a few groups of non-humans (the Anadala'y and Kinai, for example) Then there's the majority of us who are just boring old humans. ;)

Welcome and nice to meet you!
