Some discovery.

In regards to my first post here, we have figured out a few things. One main thing is that it's not very frigging likely that I'm faking this. Griffin doesn't believe so, and I don't really believe so. So we've ruled out that this might all be psychosomatic.

What that's left us with is either channeling, or the spirit residing in me. From what I can tell, Griffin is leaning more towards a channel type situation, which hurts my brain to think about all the details of, to be honest with you. So many things that are hard to explain about it. :p But the long and short of it is that Griffin has her girlfriend back, which is good for everyone.

Instead of being called Heaven, she's chosen the name of Brooke, so now we don't have to get confused between the role-playing character and the person. I must say, she's a real sweetheart, too! XD I love her to death! Not as much as Griffin does, though. *chuckles*

The downside is that she doesn't have her memories of her previous time in somebody else's body. She used to reside in another friend of Griffin's, before said friend turned into a psycho-bitch and turned her back on just about everything important in life. Now, Brooke doesn't remember any of that. It makes her upset to not remember all the time she spent with Griffin before now, and she's been reading through records that Griffin kept of the time, trying to remember things that happened.

I don't think she's had much luck, which is a shame. Still, I don't think she's going to give up.

It's a little odd, I must admit, to have someone using my body and being in a romantic and sexual relationship with one of my closest friends. I used to think that I'd feel really uncomfortable about it. But now, it doesn't wig me out as much as I thought it would. I feel happy for both of them, in fact, that they've managed to find a bit of happiness again.

It also strikes me as odd that through me, there's a person seeing the world that saw it once before, in something of a similar situation, that there are actual records of. Anyone else had something like this? Actually having records of what one of your others was like before they came to you? Or even knowing the person that they dwelled in or acted through before they came to you? I get the feeling that it's not too common an occurance, with all the possibilities and people out there, but it can't hurt to ask.

Who knows. One of these days, you might have Brooke saying hello here to you all. ^_^

I'm glad that you can connect them and make two people happy:)

I hope she has more luck remembering what it was like before, meybe showing her pictures of what the other body she was in before looked like may help?

Sure, that's common for people who have 'outsourced' system members-- you might want to ask about it in soulbonding, which isn't about multiplicity per se, but where you'd probably hear from a lot of people willing to talk about things like that.

The main difference is that Brooke isn't your typical 'outsourced' person. If my definitions serve me correctly, an outsourced members is one who was, in the beginning, a character of fictional origin. Pre-established past and everything.

That's not Brooke. She's not an outsourced person, so I don't think that quite counts.

I used to know the person that Brooke was in before this. So did Griffin. And when Brooke's original host, for lack of a better term, went all bitchy, Brooke was cut off from the world until she found her way out. And then, over the course of time, somehow she managed to make contact again through me. It sems different than a soulbonding-type situation.

But I will check it out in that community, just to see what I can find out, just to be on the safe side. I don't think it applies, but it can't hurt to keep an open mind.

Something like that. Brooke used to dwell in another body before she came here, be it through actually dwelling in me or me somehow just channeling her (the concept of which breaks my brain, I must admit).

When people from other systems come to you, do you get their memories and experiences and whatnot, too? And can prove to other people that it's the same person? I'm just curious on how common this seems to be, really, and what the usual effects and such are.

Well I've never tried to prove anything. People that come in my body sometimes are from another body that we live with and know . so my point is I could just make stuff up. I do sometimes feel as though they will take control of the body just like anyone else... and thats kinda scary 0_o

in our system we have 2 other systems that we connect with on a regular basis and we and they are able to travel to each others systems. Most of us who have travelled lose most of our memories for the time we are in the other system. When we return to our home system sometimes the memories of being in the other system are clear and sometimes they are forgotten. i guess it just depends on each individual as to how much they remember from other systems.

So memory loss from system to system is common enough to not need to worry about it hugely, I'd guess. Good to note, and it takes a bit of worry off my mind. Thanks for the input.

yeah this is a known thing -- when X visits Y's world, Y will experience him as virtual-X. and when X comes back how much will he remember and how much he'll have to correlate his memories with what Y remembers virtual-X doing? and a lot of this will depend on how well X and Y know each other non-virtually. boy that sure got scrambled. English, please.
