Hi, everybody. After previously leaving any posts about our mutliple issues to a specific friends filter, we've decided to actually join a couple communities to try to better understand ourselves and maybe be in touch with some others that are going through our same issues.
We have been acting on a co-operatively level, as that last time we actually vied for control resulted in a disastrous event that left us in a brekadown state for a week, and with most of the personae missing (whether dead or merely imprisioned we cannot tell). A quick synopsis of the minds and body:
The body has 27 years. Born male, but has transitioned to female and has been living full-time as one for the past five years.
One of the primary minds is Gina Delta. The Delta is as per the greek letter of the alphabet, and signifies that she is the fourth revision of the primary persona. No two lettered Ginas have been in existence at the same time, though they are significantly different from each other. Gina Delta has some of the memories of Gamma, Beta, and Alpha, and some memories even prior to that (1977-1995 was somebody else, though we think there may have been splits even earlier), though any memories from past versions are fuzzy at best, and blanked out completely at worst. Quick timeline: 1977- July 1995= ???? (Alpha didn't even remember events before 1995); July 1995- October 1999= Alpha; October 1999- Mid 2000 = Beta; Mid 2000-Early 2004= Gamma; Early 2004- Present = Delta. One note of physical appearance is that Delta has wavy red hair; the hair is dyed red (naturally dark brown) and naturally wavy.
Tarnish is best described as an alternate universe version of Gina. Her childhood is the same as this body's, but her history was drastically different from 1993 on, as she transitioned sooner. When she came out, she was soundly disowned by her parents, but Tarnish got the last laugh by taking as much money as she could from the share accounts that her parents had put her name on. Tarnish used this money to finance a fast track transition. Tarnish feels as though there is next to nobody in the world that she can trust, as being true to herself cost her her family and all of her friends, save for one. Sometime between 1998 and 2000, her spirit was separated from her body (whether by death or something else is not known, though death is presumed, as her latest memory of being in her own body is her 21st birthday. Later memories seem to be blocked off in a manner much the same way that the lettered Ginas are when trying to recall their own past). In early 2000, Gina Beta encounted Tarnish in a dream, and presuming her to be a ghost, offered Tarnish the ability to "hitch a ride" in the body, telling her that if the body died well, any spirits within would be re-incarnated, and being a restless spirit is a fate quite frankly worse than death. Tarnish differs in appearance from the lettered Ginas as in her life, she would dye her hair black and straighten it, but being an AU version, she looks very similar. Although Beta was kind to Tarnish, Gamma viewed Tarnish as a "dark side," and did her utmost to keep Tarnish as locked up within the back of the mind as possible. Delta felt that it would be better for them to work together, and they share control of the body.
There is also a Logical Mind that acted as a sort of auto-pilot from 1995 onward. Logic is a construct, though it (no pronoun is used because it is aware of itself as a protective system and nothing more) does have enough sentienc to control the body when it needs to or when the others are unable to. As its name dictates, Logic has no emotions, only acting according to if-then-else rules and to research or dispense information. Logic knows of the events that the other personae don't seem able to remember, but it will not divulge that information, claiming quite simply that such knowledge was locked away for a reason.
Lastly, there is another object within the self. In the dream world, the global I had a crystalline sword that could not bring harm to any person of this world. The sword had enough sentience to be able to protect its wielder, and also to heal those it came across. When Gina Delta first came to sentience, a young man was standing over her, doing what she describes as tinkering with her head. The sword, known as Triton, could take a human-like form when within the mind, and when in that form, took the name of Legacy. Legacy insisted that he was not who he looked like, that Triton only knew the appearance of his former wielder (he looked like the body did during its teenage years). Under normal circumstances, Triton is an inanimate sword, but still aware of its purpose. On rare occasions, the crystal takes different form, and Legacy can advise us. He knows things about the past that he says he will teach us when we are ready to handle it again. Also, if Delta were to shatter like Beta and Gamma did, he would create Epsilon, as he created Alpha, Gamma, and Delta (Beta actually evolved out of Alpha. To borrow computer terms, Beta was an upgrade; Gamma and Delta were when the whole operating system needed to be re-formatted and re-installed).
There is much more to the histories between us, but I felt this a good introduction. If any new friends come from this journal, mention it to me and I will add you to our "Meta" filter, that deals with our multiple issues and our dreams.
