Are there still moderators for this community?

I know they don't like getting involved in things but they're the only people who can ban a member and that's clearly the only way to get [livejournal.com profile] peace_joy_love to leave us alone.

I'm merely replying to posts sent to me, other than this one...

...what I have done is not "banning material" and I assure you, I won't reply to posts that are irrelevant to me, or my postings...simply put, I reply because I have been sent a note...courtesy is the reason...

The general of the spiritual warfare, apparently.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

I don't know. Did you try emailing Asrai?

The way I view it--and, moderator/s, correct me if I'm wrong--but, it's always first and foremost the mod's choice to kick someone. Barring that, if a majority of group members take offense at the actions of another member, the mod can take that under advisement on whether or not to kick.

Sort of participatory dictatorship, in a sense.

Maybe someone who's got a paid account--which, y'know, wouldn't be me at the moment, but I could try--should post a poll? Or I'd say, the comments on this post should be useful for that, as well.

For my view:

Most of the time I've been scrolling past [livejournal.com profile] peace_joy_love's posts because they're boring, without use to me, and take up space and time I could use more profitably elsewhere. Of late, how'ver, I've been scrolling back and checking out the posts, because there's been so much controversy surrounding them. I've learned a few disturbing things, like the refusal to LJ-cut, the apparent delusion that loving Christ will make us all happy people in touch with our glowing inner selves, and that he's posted at least one poem without clear attribution--which, in my view, is theft, plain and simple.

Anyone else want to chime in on this?

About a year ago, [livejournal.com profile] asrai_d named [livejournal.com profile] neitherday as co-mod, but perhaps [livejournal.com profile] neitherday are likewise busy with school and/or family and haven't been able to take care of things here recently.

Once again, I wish to offer my services and those of my colleague Jay Young. We have posted in [livejournal.com profile] asrai_d's journal accordingly and will also email them.

I think the community definately needs at least one more (system of :p) active moderaters.

And as far as banning peace_joy_love, I vote yes. (and am speaking for the whole system.)

If that didn't work, could we just put up a sign saying "DON'T FEED THE TROLLS"?

Both of us are for banning them. (Although, they are rather entertaining which makes them fun to keep around)
