Space to talk

Apologies if I'm out of line here, but I just wanted to create an initial space for people to discuss policy, in an attempt to get debates moved off multiplicity and here into the place that's meant for it. There seem to be a lot of conversations happening on individual journals and it would be good to bring them together.

It doesn't matter what you cut out. Anyone who read that thread knew exactly who the comment was referencing. If you actually cared about separating that viewpoint from the comment you would have just paraphrased. Instead you directly quoted something that was an attack against someone who's been actively involved in the discussion on this board.

You can't quote that kind of thing and expect the people who were hurt by it to just shrug and move on.

It didn't occur to us that anyone would read it in its 'full context' (ie: about nostre_stelle. We certainly didn't quote it with such a purpose, and have said as much. It's a metaphor that we thought worked with the topic at hand, that is all it is.
