Apologies if I'm out of line here, but I just wanted to create an initial space for people to discuss policy, in an attempt to get debates moved off
multiplicity and here into the place that's meant for it. There seem to be a lot of conversations happening on individual journals and it would be good to bring them together.

Date: 2011-02-02 05:40 am (UTC)It implies that the people who've gotten hurt or have been attacked deserved it. It's problematic for two reasons. First, a lot of the people who've been the target of this crap really haven't been involved in any drama at all. Second, it's the sort of statement that veers dangerously close to victim-blaming, and blaming people for being openly emotional when other people are trying to hurt them.
I like the rules that the mods have already laid out, and I also like that they've already been put into effect. I think it's a good start to fixing some of the issues.
Also, totally agree with your other comment about the factions, and I wanted to say that even though we've disagreed about things in the past I think you've had a lot of intelligent input regarding this latest dramafest. :)
