For those who knew Larz

Four weeks ago (28 April 2004) Larz was badly damaged in an internal coup attempt. He is not expected to recover.

One of Ray's friends attempted to assassinate and replace him as Kaptin. He was unsuccessful. Larry and Ray were damaged as well. We are relatively certain Ray will recover. Larry is being repaired by Margaux. We have selected a new Kaptin to replace Larz until he recovers if ever. The perpetrators were damaged and dealt with. They admitted under interrogation to outside help and encouragement.

I apologize his friends for the apparent loss of their friend. It was my failure that allowed the assassination to go forward.

We have had internal coups and assasination attempts as well. I wish Larz strength and fortitude that he may yet pull through.
I would not give up on him just yet. We have been amazed at what our people survive..sometimes it is just a matter of waiting, possibly even waiting for many years, for the person who has been damaged to resurface.

in some small way, it is almost a comfort to know we are not the only system...

to have such stuff occur within. We've had alter wars; raids by Darks; people killed & others wounded many times over.

FWIW I am sorry for Larz & hopes he may recover. I do not know your system well if at all, but I understand coups & assassinations. We've seen a few here too.
