...I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to look over our multiple code and see if it looks right. I am not all sure where ( ) belong always, etc... and I was just looking for an excuse to say hi.

Faith: some Taoists in the earth world, a Catholic and a Wiccan in-house (This is where I wasn't sure about where you put the parentheses. If I was going to say that, I'd write it Fet^+/c/pw.

*I had wanted to say that we had multiple similar to earth worlds, but didnt realize the alternate use of + in that section to designate "lighter"

*Switiched around the religion section as well... Im realizing that while the code is pretty cool, there arent always good ways to say all the things I would think to... I guess that just means we have "layers"... ;-)

Why? We've got (freelance solitary) Wiccans, Catholics, Jews, deists, atheists, etc., and a religion practiced back on our own world. No disagreements. I suppose if two major festivals were supposed to occur on the same day in the earth world and both practitioners wanted to celebrate in the earth world...

No, two members of the same system having a religious debate would not in essense be someone debating with himself. Multiples are several people sharing the same body. We are not parts, aspects, or sides of one person. When we disagree, we are disagreeing with someone else. It's no different than you having a religious debate with a friend or some random guy off the street.

Having a religious debate with yourself is something completely different and a lot of questioning people do it.

Sorry, I know that don't mean to make you mad. But in the eyes of a good 90% persent of the population they think thats the case, and in the case of a good many multipules that use to be the case before they split up.

So no matter what most people will see a system as one person, and in some cases they use to be....

Frostbite rather tends to think of himself as a pice of me and it kinda rubs off sometimes too, sence no one else in here realy cares on how people look at us.

To join in the religion discussion (I guess I did start it, after all):

For a long time under our singlet identiy weve just gone as "taoist", and seem to have gotten along in the real world pretty well. I can go to church, and Munodi has her friends she does rituals with, and when either of us gets questioning looks, we just deny that we were anything but taoist in the first place. I think that was what I was trying to go for by putting the "c/pw" as a ( ) of "et". Not that we dont have actual taoists, too.

And since Munodi and I dont have any direct communication, we have many more things to leave irritated notes about than our fundimental religious pricipals. Maybe someday we would have that discussion. At the moment, Id rather get the oppertunity to go to church than fight over why she should.

So? It is not so for us, nor for pengke nor many others. Each group must be taken on their own individual terms.

That is one of our (http://www.astraeasweb.net/plural/) main goals -- to educate the public away from thinking of all multiples in terms of one person who split their consciousness. It's about all they ever see on movies and television (http://www.tanuki.cx/pavilion/library/library_media.html), but hopefully that will change (http://www.kitsune.cx/blackbirds.layman).

And I can understand your frustration.....I have an aquatance that seams to thinks nearly all multipules are copmeately dilutional, and are just hearing things... that it's not real and it's all a dilution.

Shi insists that your not a multipule unless you are not aware of the other peronalites at all, any internal awareness at all short of black outs is imposable. And says this is becose there is no documented cases where the case was otherwise..... everyone else like turned out to be scyphrinic (sp?).

Every time the subject even comes up shi has to act all smartsy about it post like two parahgraphs of why I'm dilutional and insane becose some times Kitsu shares thoughts with me... I could realy care less if I'm dilutional or not frankly and I wish shi would just drop it. >.>



But I rather more understand this stuff....... I'm just not very good at wording my thoughts....... prity much saying just that is how must people would view it.... and looking at yourself from that prospective that most would see and stuff.

Right! It's the same old jazz... we hear it all the time. We just don't care to look at ourselves from the perspective that most people would see, as you say. We prefer to see ourselves as we are.
