I have to wonder if It is just us that experences this, although I doubt it. I know others have both male and female genders repersented in their 'personalities'.. I for one have 4 females and one male... a friend of mine has a few males in her 'family'.
My question though, does anyone else have 'personalities' that have sexual preferences that are different than the rest of their 'families'? Orin is gay.. Jesse is straight.. Blood is most likely bi, though it would be a minor miracle is she actually had a relationship with a person other than trying to kill someone.

Yes, we have different sexual preferences. We're all females, but I'm bi and the rest of us are straight.

That actually sounds about right. I am biologically female with a lot of female and one of two male personalities. The females are anything between 80% lesbian to 100% straight. The male claims to be straight. So a wide range is entirely possible. We generally identify as bisexual.

Yes, we have pretty much the whole range.

Yep. We have males and females of just about every sexual persuasion. :)

~nods~ Yeah, we have assorted preferences... while most of us are straight or bisexual women, we also have a straight guy in here and one or two girls who identify as "mostly lesbian", plus one who doesn't seem to have any sexual orientation whatsoever.

Absolutely. Many of us are straight, some gay/lesbian, some bisexual (including me), some asexual... It can get very complicated sometimes, though mostly we just steer clear of relationships altogether, which helps prevent a lot of impending arugments...

People unfamiliar with multiplicity are often surprised to learn that a female-body system may include people who are male (oo, I like that, "May Contain Males.") -- In fact, that some female-body systems, like ours, have predominantly male frontrunners, and vice versa.

Likewise, it's not at all unusual to find various sexual orientations within a given system. Given that persons in a group are people, there is nothing at all bizarre about this, no more than the variations within any community... in terms of gender, age, race/ ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, &c.

In our experience, and that of most of our onliine acquaintances, correspondents and friends, the body matters less than who's wearing it.

I'm going to get "May Contain Males" on a t-shirt.....

First off, the body is female. Inhabitants are mostly female, but there are several males as well. All of Our sexual preferences vary - since We have kids in Our system, most of them are non-sexual (although Feral who slides from 6-12 has a little "girlfriend" but the most they do is hold hands and color together really :p). The majority of the females are bi, quite a few are lesbian, and there are a couple straight girls. The majority of males are straight, a couple bi, and one who is gay (and finds it amusing that he is dating a gay-boi in another female-body system). All it all it works out for Us, since Our girlfriend's system is mostly bi/lesbian females, a couple bi/straight males, and a gay-boi, so almost everyone has some match in the other partner's system. ^_^

our body is genetically female, but our members are great enough in number to seem to encompass all genders and many sexual orientations (as far as we can tell, we have self-professed: straights, lesbians and male-homosexuals, bisexuals, pansexuals, asexuals and even celibate folks)... polyamorous and monogamous folks as well....

as for those of us who front, most of our men don't seem interested in dealing with the folks in the 3D (unless it is via the computer), just one or 2 guys seem to want to deal with walking around in the female body (the boobs keep getting in the way!) ;-)

*lmao!* I would SO buy that shirt! XDDD I already have one that says something along the lines of "which ONE of my personalities do you find offensive?" that they had at Hot Topic for a time.. can't take myself too seriously...

Well, we hope no one finds any of us offensive, but we think there's a market for plural-themed shirts or pins of various kinds, both serious and non. I'm holding out for "We're here, we're plural, get used to it", as you see on some of the In Essence Pledge (http://www.astraeasweb.net/plural/inessence.html) stickers. Or a browser-preference sticker to put on web pages: "Plurality Now!" Mmm, I like that.

Yeah, our main fronts right now identify as lesbian. It was a struggle to get there, but finally we're 'home'.

We've got it all, too... I'm a bi female, and the rest of us are male (though not everybody exactly masculine ^^), with preferences from completely straight over bi over Doesn't-feel-like-thinking-about-that-stuff to completely gay. We also had a straight and a lesbian girl, but they left rather soon. Seems to be difficult for us to host females or something.

Me and chris are the only males in this system right now. I am bisexual and well Chris is only 9 so he doesn't really have a preference yet. Most of the girls in the system are either bi or lesbian and the core is a ex bisexual leaning towardds lesbian more everyday. Shrugs

We had 200+ ppl at one time & ran the gamut from straight to gay. Including asexual & um a few other things.

As of right now:

We are 4. Technically 5 but...um that is a muddy subject sighs... See the part about Oour core.

Oour core is well hm.. complex. She is also a somewhat median within this mpd system... so in essence, two ppl. One is a submissive little girl who is 16 but slides from 16 to anywhere near 3. The little girl (elshye) is afaik, asexual as a child or close to it, but lesbian when grown. Our core Herself is bi or was until recently... I think She is heading to lesbian.

El (Me) is lesbian through & through. Always will be. I hate men sexually. Shrugs. I make no apology for how I feel either.

Adriana *My Sister* is a female in a Female/Female relationship. She was a man for many years & has recently transitioned to the female sex. She says She's bisexual but I think again, She is leaning to lesbian in a more permanent way. As a male, I believe She had been bi. Currently that I am aware, She identifies in the middle ofthe gender spectrum to a degree I suppose. Wwe refer to Her, as Hyr. This allows Hyr to be more masculine & feel feminine at the same time.

Tatiana is the newest arrival, and Wwe are unsure of Her specific proclivities. Wwe suspect She's lesbian as well. Shrugs but Wwe don't know for sure.

Just fyi, My system is involved with the one Justin (theotherme's) is in. Wwe are also involved with another system that has not posted to this thread/lj that I am aware. Shrugs, Oour core is poly & some of Uus in here are as well. Adriana is the exception & until recently, I was monogamous as well. Tatiana again, Wwe are unsure.

Female body with: one mostly-straight female, one male who apparently doesn't really differentiate between genders, one male who claims (somewhat unconvincingly) to have no sexual desires... all of us celibate and likely to remain so indefinitely.

this is a tough issue for me.

first: body is male.
2nd: the ratio of girls to guys is (roughly) 7:4 in favor of girls
3: as far as sexuality goes i am bisexual but mostly lean towards lesbian and have alot of issues with it because i have a very very hard time coping with this body not being female. morgil is straight and he is more interested in sex than any of the rest of us. kent, the Original, is straight. most of the other girls and guys are straight but aren't particularly interested in sex for whatever reason(often dissinterested in reality) with the possible exception of a new girl who morgil saw in a little forrest glad in the mountains a few days ago... we still haven't been able to contact her very well.

the biggest problem overall though is with me because, while i /do/ generally prefer women i don't like the idea of being a /guy/ while being with someone else. i've tried to be with a girl a few times and have only ever found the experience any fun at all /once/. i really really have bodyimage problems and want to be a girl like i am inside and i struggle almost all the time with the fact that that won't happen. i just wish that somehow i could have a body that looks at least a /little/ like how i look on the inside and i think its sad that there's no real way to see that dream come true as far as i know. i'm not sure how to deal with it really. it also doesn't help that i seem to be internally fragmented myself in the midst of all of the others.

How can he be transgendered MTF when the body is female? And if he considers himself female why do you call him your boyfriend?

Or do you just mean that he was male but now that he's using the body a lot his internal image has shifted to that of a female to match the body?

We have a good variety at the moment.

I'm a guy bisexual. There's also a boy who's most probably straight (but he's usually too young to deal with relationships. I've never asked him but he's never seemed interested in guys and doesn't "feel gay" at all.) and a non-gendered person who is nonsexual but in a relationship with a girl.

Curious about your mention of Blood and "it would be a minor miracle if she actually had a relationship with a person other than trying to kill someone."

I've got one in my system that seems to be triggered by sexuality, but to her, sexuality involves a serious intention (can't think of a better way to say this) of trying to kill someone.

(Hmmm... do you think that counts as a "preference"? Giggle.)

Is Blood simply angry and wanting to do damage to those who deserve it? Or does she have inflicting damage and relationship somehow connected?

Oh, wow. *doink* FtM. What a major typo!

The body he shares is female. So is his own body, but now that he is host his body is nearly identical to how the shared body looks.

Can't be sure... but from a "management" perspective, it seems too risky. I'd like to think we could give her some bloodplay and that would be that, but I get the distinct impression that if she got full control, she'd want to carry things through to (what to her would be) the logical conclusion.

As I have outside kids I am raising and all kinds of other activities balanced rather precariously for many of my people to experience, it seems a shame to have it all come tumbling down while We clean up the stains, hide the body and try to stay out of prison.

I've tried negotiating with her, but she doesn't seem at all concerned. For now, we just give a standard liability disclaimer to any new partners (which are few and far between, sigh): Don't let Us draw blood. Don't let Us tie you up. Better safe than sorry.

Kinda sucks, but what else can We do?

body is female.. main frontrunner is a .. *grins* 'mostly gay' male~ :D
the other one (beside myself) who can actually interested to outsiders is a lesbian~ she doesn't front at all that much though~

others.. most of them.. well, just don't care about labels, I think~ they're pretty stubborn people ^^;although I know some who'll have my head on a platter if I even mention them to be.. anything else than straight~ *rollseyes*

perhaps just you... or perhaps most of you are TG/TS? obviously something is affecting your system/body in such a degree that you are distressed about being ina male body.

it is something to consider no?
