hi im new to this community .. ive been reading some posts for a few days and thought i should introduce myself... im jude .. the host of a system of 12 so far... im not the original but im here the most..... i guess im just trying to meet other people like me so i can understand more.... we were diagnosised 4 or 5 months ago but have been in therapy for about 7 years... b efore that we were mis diaagnosised as bi polar and antisocial ...... weve been working on trying to communicate with each other and work together but it seems like whenever we sem to get a handle on things someone new pops up in therapy... is this a common thing? ive known for several years that i shared a body with some. i thought then only 6... being in therapy has brought out more and its kinda scary.. has anyone else expeienced this in therapy?

thanks

Maybe they were there all along and therapy brought them out? or is something traumatic making new ones?

I don't know if it's common for every system with D.I.D., but that's how it's seemed to work for my group as well.

Yes.

Welcome to the community. If you're not a member already, [livejournal.com profile] fragmentedminds is more geared toward D.I.D., though this place is certainly wonderful as well. :o)

I thought it was pretty routine in therapy to find out you had more people than you initially thought.

I welcome all of you to the community. I wish you luck in communicating with the other people in your group, too. By the way, I think that it is perfectly possible, through intense selves-analysis in therapy, to find out there are more people in a group.
