May. 4th, 2007 01:07 pmDoes anyone here have headmates that are actually past lives?
I have 2 members of my system that I have known of for almost 10 years. Here's the thing: they weren't headmates before, they were past life incarnations (one being a multiple of the other). Now, they are both separate entities. Now, considering my religious preferance, its not all that hard for me to believe. The Kemetic soul consists of two parts: the ka, and the ba. The ka is the part of the soul that is equated with the personality. It is the part that goes to the Duat (the Afterlife, Heaven, Elysium, whatever you wish to call it) while the ba is the eternal part of the soul that gets reincarnated. The ba is less evident than the ka, but still there.
So, there is Jaenelle and Rayne. Jaenelle is a ka previously joined with my ba. Rayne was Jaenelle's multiple (Rayne committed suicide and joined with Jaenelle- don't ask. Long story.) Now they are both separate. Has this happened to anyone else? I know some of you have gotten Others that have moved in, but these two were a part of me before Shardae and the rest emerged.

Date: 2007-05-05 04:25 am (UTC)You have the same theory on past-life multiplicity as I do!
My fiancé is part of a multiple system. Six people, one body. They're all past-lives; they rotate lives. Near as we can tell, they're essentially six kau that share one ba.
My headmate is pretty much the same; he sort of got... delivered to my headspace about a year ago from some afterlife of some sort (possibly the Duat? Part of it? Wouldn't be surprising, since supposedly the Field of Reeds isn't terribly different from this world...); he's a prior ka of my/our ba.
It's fascinating to see someone else with the same outlook!
