Hi here.
Sorry, but have you ever heared of psychotherapist and books' author ,whose name is Kluft? I'm looking for either his review about multiplicity written in 1991 or the article in Kluft & Fine antology (1993). It's my need for the scientific work. Now i'm making a literature rewiew on the multiplicity theme. From the 'scientific' side of my work I use the frank putnem's monography and the book by Nancy McWilliams.
Also I'll try to tell my auditory about healthy multiplicity as I understand it.
So, If you've ever read smth by Kluft i'll be really glad if you tell me, where I can get these materials or smth else which is useful and interesting. and also, what is your opinion on the books i've mentioned before? are they truthful?

just doing a quick OVID database search on Kluft, Richard I got 33 relevant articles, so there's a fair bit out there. . From memory he is definitely a medical model, disordered multiplicity type

Richard Kluft? Yeah, he was one of the worst ones out there, along with Colin Ross. It wasn't just that he thought multiplicity always had to be rooted in dissociation and trauma, it was that he came up with these absolutely atrocious methods for "determining" whether a patient was really multiple, some of which sounded like something out of Abu Ghraib. One of his "techniques" was to force patients to endure 18-hour interrogations with no breaks, the rationale being that the patient would eventually "break down" under the stress and the "alters would appear." (I'm more inclined to believe that almost anyone, if subjected to enough interrogation and demands that "it's really in there, it has to come out sometime," would eventually resort out of sheer panic, strain and desperation to displaying whatever they're being asked to, just to put an end to it all. I think this sort of thing produced more "fake multiples" than it ever uncovered any real ones.)
