Thanks. I think the term DID does serve a certian purpose. So, getting rid of it has to be done with great care. As with getting rid of any label. A lot of the time, people just see the problems with such labels. The thing is, knowing I'm disociative, I start to understand things better about myself. Also knowing that there is a ``close'' term for my disociative state (DID) I can look for information by looking for that term. Rather than trying to find information by describing what I'm expericning. So, though I know such terms are often abused, they do serve a purpose when one is trying to understand hirselves.
