[identity profile] asrai-d.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] multiplicity_archives
I will post this in the comm info at the first possible moment. If not too many people have problems. I'm not a dictator here. I joined LJ in it's early days of popularity. And also the early days of my multiplicity. Many things have changed ... in LJ and my personal life.

For those of you who do not know darkpersonalities.com. They were one of the first good websites I came across in the early days. Since then the website was taken down. THe list goes on at topica.com ... search for it (but make sure it's now the update list).

Anyway, the dp list is an uncensored list. No spoilers. If it is a problem, that is your problem. I agree with it. There were times in my life when I couldn't do that. But, it's over now. And that's were I am. I think I should say that this is not where you are in life, I'm sorry.

Since I have been subscribed to the dp list there have been many a flame-war. And many people left because of it and many people formed strong friendships because of it.

I'd like to go with my first instincts here. NO censorship here.

Could somebody just briefly explain to us

...how to 'cut' a post? We know that some of our personal entries are a tad long, and we don't know how to make it easier on our friends.

How to do an lj-cut:

At the beginning of the text you want to cut, write this: (Naturally, substitute regular HTML angle brackets for the square brackets I've used so things will show)

[lj-cut text="click here to read more"] (The text between the quotation marks can say whatever you like -- we use 'em for subheaders within our posts.) If you just write [lj-cut] it will automatically put the words, "Read More."

At the END of the text you want to cut, write this:
[/lj-cut]

And that's how you do it.

Ummm... I'm not understanding what's happened to this community... it seemed to be going along fine and then, WHAM! one disagreement and the whole thing self-destructs.

What happened to the format, it's all weird now? Why can't we see how many comments there are on a post any more? I tried to post a comment for James, who's having a hard time, and I got this note that it's "screened" until the Powers That Be unscreen it... what's up with THAT? Can HE see it, or should I go to his Lj and tell him personally? What's with saying "NO censorship", and then comments are "screened", whatever that means exactly?

I'm not liking it. I'm wondering if I should just quietly leave before things get any weirder.

Screening seems to have been a temporary measure, since removed...
