Any thoughts on tonight's episode? We are glad, for once, that someone with DID wasnt' portrayed as a monster, and that it didn't make switching look like a seizure.

I've been really fed up with ER lately, and tonight's episode (for reasons not involving that storyline) got me pretty riled up. But yeah, I thought they handled it pretty well, if trying too hard to simplify DID, since it rarely has clear triggers like one the ones shown on tonight's ep (I believe he could have gotten the angry, brave personality to come out by making him angry, but the other ones don't seem as realistic). But on the other hand, I thought it was handled with a lot more grace than I have seen it handled on TV before.

Actually, I think an episode of Law & Order handled it the best (when dealing with an abused woman whose teenage boy personality came out to protect her and killed someone), including showing the difficulting in getting that particular personality to come out again.

Also, I'm a little upset that Morris has been around for four seasons and they just now decided to make him seem likeable. But considering how ER is written lately, let's see how long it lasts.

Thanks. Gotta love the Goo Goo Dolls. ^_^ (Well, I like anything from Dizzy Up the Girl and earlier, anyway.)

*sneaks in* Oy, could you give me the name of the episode? I'd like to check it out but I'm not sure if they've aired it here yet. ^_^

I caught that episode and liked how they portrayed it. I liked the how the doctor reacted to the child, and to the others that came out.

Well there was the positive note that he wasnt a murderer.

it still seemed quite stereotypical. seriously when i have to go to an er we arent pulling that and i doubt many others do.

i dunno. it wasn't the worst i've seen by far so i'll give them that. so far my favorite tv character portrayal was in 95 on one life to live. they ae doing it again now with another character but no one compares to how well viki did it.

Is there any way I can view the episode online? I see that on the NBC website you can only view 2 minute clips. Where could I find whole episodes?

YouTube has it, I'm sure. Just search for "E.R. Jigsaw" and have a look through.
