Thought I would take a moment to introduce myself before I asked for a favor.
I am a single, but Im supporting a multiple, who is a very loved friend of mine. I have been reading, researching, and looking at the posts here as Im eager to learn all I can so I can continue to support my dear friend. Im not a great poster, but I will be here learning from the input of everyone of you.
Now the favor
A colleague and I are creating a site using a mux server where multiples can build their systems. It can be used for their own reasons, maybe to show their therapist or family or friends. Maybe just to lay it out for their own pleasure. There will be different areas of the site, some for learning, some for fun. We are looking for anyone who might have some knowledge of the mux or mush servers and how to build. We are willing to teach as well.
We need a mature person, whether single or multiple who is willing to dedicate time to the project and show up at least 3 to 4 times a week for a few hours at a time. The info for log on is 'multiplicity.mushpark.com' port '3333', and @mail Huck or Hermione.
Thanks

Mu Clients
Date: 2006-06-27 05:22 pm (UTC)Thanks for responding. There are two ways to log in. You can do it through Telnet, but that isnt a very user friendly way of doing it, or you can also download a client. I use one called SimpleMu, and my friend uses mushclient. They are free to use, and there are more than those around. Both can be downloaded, the last time I looked, from www.tucows.com
or you can try here
SimpleMu - http://simplemu.onlineroleplay.com/
Mushclient - http://gammon.com.au/mushclient/mushclient.htm
There are other clients. I got this address frome searching on yahoo for 'mush clients', and it has some links.
http://www.mudshell.com/homesite/mud_clients.html
Hope that helps

Date: 2006-06-28 02:57 pm (UTC)Good to hear from you. I dont actually know what code PhoenixMUSH uses, so perhaps the best way to find out is to come and have a look. Im in Europe so Im usually around afternoons and very early evening EST, but weekends are more flexible.
If you want to come and see then you are welcome to talk to me, Hermione, or Huck, and even if you couldnt be a primary builder, help will always be gratefully received.
Just drop in and say Hi!
You are always welcome there :)
