[identity profile] flyawayjenny.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] multiplicity_archives
Hiya, it's Jenny from the [livejournal.com profile] shadowechoes. This is my personal journal, and while I've had the community on my friends list since I made this journal, I've never posted or commented in there with it. So I just wanted to introduce myself and my own journal, especially since now that I'm the primary frontrunner, I'm the one who's around the most and reading things here in the community the most, usually from my lj. (Although I don't think the Echoes ever made an intro post in the first place, but oh well. You can read more about the whole system on our webpage if you're interested.) Most of us have our own individual journals, and we've got a few collective journals too besides the main system journal. If anyone's ever curious, there's a list of all our journals that's linked on the [livejournal.com profile] shadowechoes profile that should be current.

In addition to being the primary frontrunner, I'm also the most recent split in our system. And hopefully I will be the last. :/ I've found that because there were several people co-fronting at the time I split, it's like I split from all of them, and I've got qualities of each kinda blended into one person that is me. But now that I've been my own person for several months instead of "just a split", I've also adapted and evolved beyond just the characteristics I inherited from those that I split from. It's been kind of interesting finding my own way in my own new life, figuring out what it is that I like and don't like, who I am, instead of just what I was automatically. Do other splits have similar experiences? Becoming a primary frontrunner also had an effect on me in that I can identify with the body and the body's whole life of experiences and connect with them more. I guess it's so that I can blend in more in the singleton world, a coping method so that changes in frontrunners isn't so obvious.

A lot of the things I like are things that a number of our system members enjoy too. Most of us have a love for animals and the outdoors. I have a real weak spot for rescuing cats apparently that some of the others in my system weren't too thrilled about when I brought home another stray cat. :/ (We already have been taking care of three strays as well as own two house cats, but this kitten was hanging around someone else's house and they threatened to kill her so I took her home with me and now she's staying in the bathroom until she gets used to our house cats.) So she's my cat I guess. ^_^; I also like going off-roading and I'm obsessed with Jeeps. One day I'll convince the rest of the system to own one, but for now I just drive my boyfriend's Jeep around everywhere. :) I really like reading poetry, although I've never actually tried to write any. I've been working on writing a short story though. My favorite poet is Emily Dickinson. I also like to read novels; I just recently finished Catch-22 and absolutely loved it. I like a wide variety of music, mostly rock/alternative but also country (I *love* Johnny Cash), oldies, and some techno. One other thing I'm obsessed with are birds - mostly doves and corvids. Bird imagery is really important to me, if you can't tell from my username and icon. :p

Well, I guess that's enough rambling. Sorry, I'm just really bored and feeling chatty, even though it's almost 5am and I should be in bed. I have work in the morning so I really should try to get some sleep. x.o Anyway, it's nice getting to know some members of the community better, and now hopefully people will recognize me on my own journal too. :p

You shouldn't apologize for being bored and talkative. Half the internet population is bored and talkative and while it's nice to have other places to talk to, also nice to have a place to talk where other people understand the situation, right?

My grandad used to keep doves when I was really little, in big handmade cages for my Grams. Your icon reminded me of that.
