[identity profile] indigo-ashes.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] multiplicity_archives
I joined this community under the name charcoalrain last year but i never got up the courage to introduce myself.

My name is Ani and I am the main person here.

I would describe our system as median as opposed to just straight multiple, seeing as I am almost always aware of everything that goes on weather I am fronting or not. Although I have lost awareness of myself many times when the second most dominant persona (Okonamae (Switch)) was fronting.

The body is 18, female, short, brunette and french, living in central Canada.

I am 18 female etc...

I am the current evolution of the orriginal personality.

Now onto the others.

Like I said the other most active one of us is Okonamae Switch, I will most often refer to her as switch since it is her favorite nickname.

Switch is a pixie, age is subject to question seeing as she is very smart but quite young in action, she bahaves like a 3-6 year old most of the time but is deep and caring towards the people she cares about. For someone seemingly so young she is surprsingly adult.

I'm sure she'll introduce herself in a few days.

I have pictures to show.

Ani (me)

Just to avoid any confusion it is the same body.

I found the picture of her on my digital camera, aparently my girlfriend took it of her a few months ago.

It may seem odd to say it's a picture of her when clearly it's the same body but I have noticed (as has my girlfriend) that switch and I change the appearence of the body (facial expressions, mannerisms, posture etc.) depending on who is fronting.

Switch and I aren't the only two inhabitants, infact the current number of persona's is subject to question.

I could (and have) write a ten page essay about us as a collective but I'll spare you that for now ;)

I'm tired so I'm gonna go join my love in bed.

Peace,
Ani & co.

its not odd at all, mainly because well, you are different people living in the same body :)
Our body is 19 years old and female, and one of us recently put together a website (http://www.boomspeed.com/altered) with pics of some of us.

anyways, welcome to the community :)

Good to meet you! Welcome. We're kind of settling in here ourselves. We should do a formal intro one of these days. We're a plain gateway system with about ten or fifteen people who usually frontrun or can take the front in a pinch.

It's relatively common for people taking the front to bring their own body language and vocal and other mannerisms with them. Nothing strange or embarrassing about it -- we kind of think of it as going with the territory. Thank you for being here and sharing your pictures!

Hey there. We lurk a lot, but post here occasionally. we're a combination gateway/natural multiple system, I guess, with a currently indeterminate number of members (current estimates are all over the place, depending on who you ask ;) )

Don't feel weird about showing off different pictures. We've thought of taking photos of all of us on a few occasions, but quite a few of us dislike the way the body looks (it's not horrible, it just doesn't match up with the way we look), and some of us just aren't photogenic. :\

Sorry. Too frightened to use own names. Here too. Hello. Is this bad?

Nah. You have to come to a thing like that when you feel ready.

Heck, a lot of us don't remember our names when we come to the front. Perfectly good names back home, but come to the front and it's like the Alice books. "I can't explain myself, you see, because I don't know who I am."

So don't worry about it, you are fine.

Nothing strange about that... it's relatively routine. Lots of plural systems have animals, aliens, or creatures usually considered mythological like fairies or centaurs. Or people who change back and forth... shapeshifters. Or any kind of nonhumans. Anthea of [livejournal.com profile] ninquelote who wrote to you earlier is not human, and there are other nonhumans in her group. I'm not human either even though I look it because I am from an alternative dimension. (Everybody in our system is except 3 people who came from outside, from Earth.) I imagine (and hope!) everybody's welcome on this community.

There are lots of other communities where people with nonhumans in their system are welcome.

You might want to talk to [livejournal.com profile] ninquelote some more and also [livejournal.com profile] terredancer

Most of us are not-human. Glenda is a Utah Raptor. Diz is either a generic shapeshifter with Coyote tendancies or a Coyote with uber shapeshift skills. I'm sorta a rat and Kay is vaugly a crow.
Luc is our token human, evne if he takes gryphen form sometimes ;P
All of us can take pretty much any form we want to in our mind-scape-thingy. And we know another chick who's an elf (she's not on this community, I dun think she's got an LJ but we talk to her sometimes on the net).

Shiny things rock. Diz and Kay collect them all the time and just sorta stare at them. Its hard to explain to people who catch us ;P
"Why are you looking at that?"
"Its shiny..."
"Um..."

Hi! I'm new here myself, and not even really brave enough to introduce anyone else yet. I'm glad to see you here; it's nice to see other new people joining, and reading your introduction made me think more about what I want to say about myself.

The picture thing didn't seem odd to me at all; there's three of us (including me) who've tended to be out enough to be photographed, and now that I know what's going on it is extremely obvious to me who is out in each photo. Body language is so much of recognising a person.
