MuC icons

We was talking on [livejournal.com profile] szczur_system's journal about the MuC and they said it would be cool to get a whole heap of people to do it and make icons from it. Kinda like we did, in fact. Just because it's incomprehensible and looks cool. :)

Just go to paint and make it 100x100...

Add in your code as text...

Save it as a Jpg file!

:) Tadaa!

Wait till [livejournal.com profile] consortium find out about this. They, not we, originated the Code. They're back on at http://consortium.dreamshore.net

Oh, now I have to go do one.

Question on the 'origins' section: what about soulbonds? Do they count as walk-ins, or what? I'll put it as walk-ins for now... or just write 'soulbonds'.

Date: 2005-06-08 05:00 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] ksol1460.livejournal.com
I should think they'd count as walk-ins. Ours are more like occasional visitors, but they have, albeit rarely, fronted. Andy

You know, we must really get back with [livejournal.com profile] consortium about the Code... we've done a lot of tweaking since they left, and they're actually carrying the older version on their site. We received mail the other day suggesting three more species to be added. (tyeps of Raptors) Jay

Another Method For Making Icons

If you have Firefox, you can get an extension that makes LJ icons.

What would be interesting would be a little program you could run someone's MuC through to see what everything meant, so you wouldn't have to look it up. I'm pretty sure I saw that somewhere for another code, maybe several.

http://www.dragon-realms.com/?page=decoder <-- Dragon Code Decoder.

See, the problem with that is, you'd have to make sure that everyone was doing the code exactly correctly, as computers can't step back and interpret something as a human mind can, they only see something and give the exact definition... We could look at it and say, "Oh, I don't really think they meant to put that extra '/' in there..."

After a question about soulbonds, a LARGE amount of frustration at the code not fitting into 100x100, and lots of working with font colours, we present:

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Us in an icon. Our names, our Geek Code, our Multiple Code.

MuC N- [f;f/m/a] S.H+/S.Hf/S.H'leprechaun' A(b r---!/+) Ow Wm^ Cc++ I-- OF(r+/o+) Past/spi/pre/mag Fp'eclectic'^+/F~+ T++ Xp1(b/g/p/s) Jr/wr Do R+ C++ So++

Because it's almost illegible in the icon!

I also decided to add the '&' to the name list because of occasional walk-ins who pop in for a few minutes but aren't around as much as the others by a long shot. Good idea?
