[identity profile] garden-keep.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] multiplicity_archives
Hello!

Mindy just posted (she's [profile] ambersarchives). I am also a member of silentmultiples, so if you are also part of that group you have probably seen me post a couple of times. Anyway, Mindy asked me to make a rundown of everyone in our Garden, so here goes!

Alicia or 'Leesha for short - She was the original one. She doesn't talk at all to anyone except Meghan. She never "comes out" anymore. I don't know what her story is, so I don't know much about her.

Meghan - She's eight years old or thereabouts. She's really a sweet kid. She loves to play with Leesha when she can. Her favorite game is hopscotch, and she loves rainbow sherbert. She was the first one of us to show up. I don't know why she woke up to begin with, since she doesn't like to talk about it. She's a bit OCD, she loves to organize things. She's our resident Hider.

Mindy - She showed up around the age of ten. I'm not sure why. She seems to have most of the childhood memories, but doesn't realize that we're around too. She's the one that grows up, and is out more often than any of us. I guess you can call her our "frontman". She has PTSD due to rape trauma. She just recently found out about the rest of us, and she's taking it pretty hard.

Eve - I only need two words to describe Eve: Too Violent. Eve is my twin, since we both woke up at the same time. Every time she comes out, she does some kind of violence to us, like cuts. Occasionally we're lax in our watching and she slips out. On these rare chances, she has done violence to others. She's been getting better about this, though, and she's starting to get along with people outside our Garden.

Janessa - That's me! Eve and I came around due to what Mindy went through. I keep track of our Littles (Meghan and Leesha), and try to keep everyone happy and safe. If I had to describe myself, I would have to say I am logical. I am extroverted though, and I love to party and date. That makes it a little difficult, since Mindy doesn't want to date anyone right now. I play D&D with some friends. I'm 21 years old.

Christine or Chris for short- We don't really know why she woke up, or what she does, really. She's a pretty new edition (she's only been with us for about three years). She and Mindy are very close. I say that she's 14 or so, but other people have heard her say that she is 16 or 18.

Mindy and Christine are very close. For a while there, Mindy thought that Christine was some kind of guiding spirit (Mindy's Pagan, you see). Our little family got a little rocked for a while because Meghan opened her big mouth and told Mindy's (then) boyfriend about us. Since then, I've told a couple of close friends. At that time, Mindy didn't know about us. Most of us try not to force ourselves out (although I have a knack for it), since it's rude. Instead, most of us usually only comes out when our particular talents or personality is needed. Mindy has her own LiveJournal, and the rest of us share this account.

Mindy also asks that if you friend her, not to mention in her LJ that she is Multiple. She's keeping it quiet and doesn't want people to know since she has an important position in a world-wide club that she is in. I, on the other hand, am very interested in making friends, and am very open about us. In fact, I made this account so that I could have a chance to meet other people like us!

I'm looking forward to meeting all of you!

~Janessa

Welcome. Seem to remember something from [livejournal.com profile] silentmultiples, yes.

We also have someone who doesn't want people to mention her being in a system in her LJ; the policy seems to be "you're free to find out, but I won't tell you". I'm not sure if I like that approach... But then I'm rarely "around", so who am I to talk? :)

Huh? A bird hanging upside down looking at me through the window. (No that's not me.)

Azusa used to do that with her LJ. Part of it was the fact that for a while she was running around with a fairly closed-minded bunch who would have considered the idea of multiplicity to be 'too far out,' or something that was crazy and 'mock-worthy.' Basically, she just decided to get rid of everyone who wasn't accepting and understanding of her plurality, after months of other people having to pretend to 'be Azu' for chats and conversations.

other people having to pretend to 'be Azu'

We do that too... It's awful, isn't it? Having to go on a vague idea you have of what kind of person she is and getting stuff wrong so she is confused by it when she reads it back... She solved part of it by saying things like "I tend to be slow with responses" and "I'm not online very much"; but the nasty part of that is that it may get people thinking she isn't always "doing well" and sometimes "can't read (oh how terrible for her, it's all she ever talks about)" and "has fights with her brain" or something. Very much the same IRL; we try to give people who know Mina a consistent picture, and that sometimes involves pretending to be Mina-with-a-muddled-brain. :(

Uh, no, we don't pretend to be Azu.

Hello!

By Hider, do you mean someone who hides, or someone who hides objects? We have someone who likes to hide things and we're still trying to understand what she's thinking...

We got a reaction from her! :) Gracias!

"there's stuff I'm not supposed to have. there's things I'm supposed to destroy. I like to keep them instead." and laughter. She's nine and says she likes the words "secret stuff" Maybe we'll get her some nifty boxes or pocket books to hide things in?

Hi guys! We're very out in our livejournal, not so much in real life (although, curiously enough, we are out at work, something I never thought possible).

John looked through Mindy's LJ a little and posted a suggestion about an essential oil -- he says that if she isn't out, maybe he should delete that so she won't be seen as having friends who are plural?

That icon is Awesome. That is just the kind of thing we all like. Did you take that yourself? Check ours out at

Hello!

To John: Thank you for the suggestion! I trained under an herbalist for a little while, and I love aromatherapy. I won't delete the comment because I think you're kewl to write it (that, and I love comments).

Janessa says that she stole the icon from somewhere else. I checked out your pictures...they're beautiful! My mother is a photographer, though, and once I can get the scanner running, you can probably see her work on my LJ. Would it be ok if I friend you?

Absolutely. We usually don't friend back -- we tend to check individual journals instead. Otherwise our friends list gets too overwhelming.

Thanks for the compliment on our pictures -- I think some of them could win awards, especially Chris and Gabe's. Check out our LJ user icons, too -- some of them were made from our photos.

Welcome to you, too :)

We'd love to get to know you more and welcome anyone friending us. We're probably going to switch over to use [livejournal.com profile] whispersung more than this current one, though, and leave this one more about outside life.

Hope you enjoy it here; I think a lot of good discussions come up often.

The reason we set up this account was originally so we could have a place to be 'out'-- we didn't want to say anything about it in Azusa's (main frontrunner until about two years ago) journal. It can be nice to have a shared writing space, though.

Looking at the userinfo for Mindy's journal, I noticed that you actually live somewhat close to us geographically. It's a small world, I guess-- or there are just a lot of multiples in it. Or something.

I checked out Mindy's journal as far as some of the quizzes she took. You're close.
