A person once magnanimously stated that were I to prove that the other members in house had knowledge that I did not, then perhaps he would be so inclined to believe we were plural, and that I wasn't just disassociating or imagining things.

*rolls his eyes*

I think Jack put it best when he said something to the effect of "Sure, and then I'll clap for his existence" (Referencing Peter Pan and the whole "Clap if you believe in fairies" bit LOL)

We don't need anyone's acceptance or validation in order to exist, and many times, we are supportive and capable in matters where 'real (ie 3D)'<--- note the quotes ;) people fall by the wayside.

BUT, for narrowminded & judgmental individuals who need proof in order for their tiny, anal worlds to seem more safe and comfortable, I have now experienced relief from not one but two medical treatments offered by K, our eldest member, who happens to be a shaman & my mentor (and possibly more, the best I can explain it is a future aspect of myself... but he's the OLDEST, so...??? Maybe I am the current life aspect that forgot its ancient origins? I find it all terribly confusing @_@;;; Maybe I should take a quantum physics class LOL)

Anyway, K brought us successful results where traditional medicine has failed, so doubting Thomases can take THAT and shove it up their tight little bums :p

It sucks when people are like that. Our kids have a Jack Pretulusky (I think that's the name) poem they like to chant in such moments:

If you don't believe in dragons,
It is curiously true
That the dragons you disparage
Choose to not believe in you!

Probably that doesn't help but they wanted to share. :)

Oh, we love that! Mind if we post it in our journal?

Sure! I mangled the author's name though - it's Jack Prelutsky. :)

It gets weirder with us; one of us is from an alternate timeline. One of the differences between our respective histories was somebody who is just a friend in this universe and... more than a friend in another.

Oh was he embarrassed when Tarnish told him about a certain... detail about himself in order to "prove" it. Said knowledge even make me blush.

*curiosity* Did he confirm the detail's veracity? Did it have a low probability of being guessed accurately through trial and error, and would it have been impossible for that detail to be known through direct (within this 'timeline') perception?

*blushes* It involves nudity, which, although I'm sure is possible that an earlier Gina may have learned through a former girlfriend of his, is more likely that Tarnish, being an AU girlfriend of his, would know as well.

*nods slightly*

I must (or to be more accurate, choose to) be honest: on such matters that I've heard mentioned... parallel universes, alternate timelines, etc... subjectively, I think it likely to be true as anything. Objectively?

The experience of one of the others in my system of realising his every memory prior to existence here to be false makes me liable to be skeptical that such things physically exist, though my semi-rationalist nature might have resulted in that on its/my own.

Any proof... anything which can say clearly 'This would not have been possible if these memories/this world had only been mentally constructed'... if such a thing came to pass, it would be very interesting indeed.

Thank you for your honesty. *bows*

(...truth... fiction... how can one tell the difference, when subjectively there's no difference at all?

Or... none could be fiction. Or maybe some... but are the pasts of others as real as any other past(s)?

That... is the question. While there are answers that exist, questions unpaired... *trails sideways into a different quasi-philosophical tangent that actually has nothing to do with the current topic*)

So what treatments did K suggest, if I may ask? We have someone, myrrh, who can come out and heal us emotionally in emergencies - and also somewhat heal us physically, to the extent that the physical is brought on by something emotional.

We didn't really realize that, but we'd been driving all around the greater Boston area lost with the husband, and he was the one driving and he was really angry and the kids and some of the adults were scared, and we were all tired and hungry. When we finally got to a restaurant we knew we would need something major to calm us down and it occurred to Luna to yell "Myrrh! Get in here! Please!" when we were in the bathroom. She came and laid (our) hands on our head & neck and shoulders and soothed us and it was wonderful, it was like getting energy from somewhere else, somewhere outside the system, so maybe she was channeling it in.

I wish myrrh would teach me Reiki, then.

(She insists on not capitalizing the word and she insists on using it instead of her name which

which she won't let me write but starts with M. *shakes head* Whatever.)

reiki is wonderful. simple to use, great energy source and the knowledge base that comes with it is delightful.

That's great. I'll remember to use that myself when the time comes. (grin)

But did he bring this knowledge from Elsewhere or read up on it? ^jason knows lots of stuff like that, but only because he reads books, talks to other herbalists, and looks things up on line. The difficulty with proving someone is real via "he couldn't possibly have gotten such knowledge in the earthworld" is that even in a well-connected system there's always a chance of list dropout. We had a conversation in this community some time ago on people in systems having knowledge the body "couldn't possibly" have acquired.

I would love to bring some of our knowledge from Laura up front, but it's like trying to DX a radio station in Guam.

A lot of things can be cured through things like herbs and vitamins, that allopathic just covers up with chemicals. We once had some very longstanding physical difficulties permanently relieved by an ordinary chiropractic adjustment. So we can say "I know chiropractic works because it worked for us". It's still anecdotal and subjective, but after a while evidence might pile up the way it has for acupuncture, which Western allopathic medicine is finally beginning to take seriously (after how many centuries?).

There are a couple of problems with proving to others you're real by demonstrating a skill you couldn't have learned in the earth world, including the fact that not all multiples have such skills (we don't). But as always, the main thing is that you know you're real.

We have a semi-official diagnosis, but the bit I like most to "prove" us is this story about me and, er, sleeping pills. (Why do all these stories involve me and sleeping pills?)

Coz I'm the one who usually sleeps mabye? anyway, I get really strongly effected by them sometimes. And one time I took some and was sleeping, and we got woke up for dinner. I got like, four or five people who remember how really woozy I was, and then after dinner I checked my email and sent one before going back to bed. I don't remember what it said but we got it shown back to us later and it was really hard to understand, like really mispelt and typoed everywhere. Anyway then Ramon came out and sent another one saying something like, it's ok Dat's just had sleeping pills, I'll go back upstairs now so we can sleep more.

We got shwon that one too.. no typos, no spelling mistakes, absolutely perfect grammar. *shame* heh.
