Last night was so uttery weird! I (Lynn for those of you who don't recognize my sign name at the beginning of the post) am always the last one in the system asleep, so I am used to the feeling of having some asleep and some awake or all asleep and me being awake. But sometime early this morning I was waken up by "another." I'm not sure who, We don't feel a new presence here (yet?) and it could have just been someone in our system talking in their sleep or something because We have been very sick the past 5 days. I don't know about other systems, but We all have a "soul signature," so to speak, and that's how We can tell who is who most of the time (sometimes it's not clear, but We can tell it's a "system signature"). This didn't feel like any system member. But as I said, We've been very sick, with unrelenting vertigo and dizziness, and that can cause anyone to disassociate from their surroundings if bad enough.
Anyway, when I woke up I had his strong feeling that there were 2 of me lying in the bed. That's the best way I can describe the situation. It was a very odd feeling. I've never had the feeling of being separated from the others like that. The only thing I can see is that everyone else was sleeping and this other person was awake (or sleep-talking or whatever) and woke only me up with them, creating the feeling that I was with this awake person while the others were asleep "over there." I kind of remember what they were doing and saying. They were looking at their hands like they were new, playing with their fingers, making shapes and stuff. As for what they were saying, I don't remember exactly but they were looking around and saying "Oh," and "whatz that?" and things like that. It wasn't Tina (our 4 year old) nor Cristie (kinda of childish acting sometimes). It didn't feel like a child, really, just someone new to the surroundings or to a body, or someone so dizzy they were hallucinating.
It'd be nice to see if other systems have felt this or hear any thoughts on it. But it's not a problem or anything, mostly I just wanted to share my *odd* experience :)
