Luke and Cody are both resting, they have had a rough time these past couple of weeks, so I have been left in charge of planning for the trip. We are getting close to leaving! I am excited, but also nervous and a little scared, because sitting here looking at our path in the comfort of our home, it is just a blue line with a number on it, but once we are there it will be real. It has been decided that it is unacceptable to end the day outside of a town or city, so I must plan accordingly. Luckily for the first part of our trip, all the towns along the way are within fifty to sixty miles of each other, so we will be able to cover a town a day. I have only figured the time it will take to reach our first major stop, Albuquerque, because as we travel, our strength and stamina will grow, and we will be able to cover more ground each day. It will take a good two weeks to get there, and the plan is to spend five days to a week there, as there are two people we plan on meeting up with there,![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
seeamphuh and paperandhairgod, so we want to have ample time to hang out. We will also make good use of that time to rest though, and plot out the next major part of the trip. The initial part will be in mountainous terrain, and the going will be tough, so I included a few days of rest in some of those towns. Here are the towns we are hoping to get to each day..
Day 1 - Sun City Day 2 - Rock Springs
Day 3 - Camp Verde Day 4 - Rest at Camp Verde
Day 5 - Flagstaff Day 6 - Rest at Flagstaff
Day 7 - Winona Day 8 - Winslow
Day 9 - Holbrook Day 10 - Sanders
Day 11 - Gallup Day 12 - Rest at Gallup
Day 13 - Thoreau Day 14 - Grants
Day 15 - Laguna Day 16 - Albuquerque!
I imagine if we really pushed hard we could get to Albuquerque sooner than that, however, even Cody admits that this body is limited even with her in charge, so we must be careful not to push too hard, otherwise we could get sick, and we would lose a lot of time having to rest to recover. This trip is meant to be enjoyed after all, and we have only our own pace to go at, so if it takes us a month to get to Albuquerque, oh well. We are going to do this properly, so that those who care about us will not have to worry about us so much.
seeamphuh and paperandhairgod have both been gracious enough to offer us a place to rest, so I would like to thank them on behalf of everyone in the Reverie System for their kindness. Yes, yes, there are others in this community who have made the same offer, I have not forgotten. =3
A few changes have been made, and it has been decided that New York City shall be our ending destination on this trip. We are still going to pay everyone who would like us to a visit, of course. Considering how long this will likely take though, we might not be able to reach New York this year! We will go as far as we can, but once fall rolls around and it cools off, we will have to jet back to wherever home is, as staying out in the cold in this body is suicide, considering the weak immune system it has. I have faith that we can make it to New York before then though, as continuous riding will enable us to travel greater distances each day, like I said before.

Um, I think there were others who mentioned wanting to meet up, but I do not know, that is everyone Cody mentioned to me. Anyone who still wants to meet us, let me know, and I will add you to the list.
There are a few people who we will be entrusting our journal to while we are gone, so they can give everyone here a daily update on how we are doing and where we are. We will call at least one of these people every night to let them know how we are doing and whether we made it to our destination for the day, and so they can update everyone else. We will be gettin a tracphone before we go, and will be sure to post the number in both communities so that anyone who gets the urge can call us.

devil_of_paris (She is a singlet, but she is a dear and trusted friend to Luke. He is sending her this laptop so that she may update in our stead, since not every town is sure to have a place for us to update at.)

We were originally planning to leave this weekend, but I am not sure we will be prepared by then. The body is still somewhat sick and still trying to get over the flu, and we need Cody to be at her best mentally, because she is the strongest of us and is able to ride the bike the best. If not this weekend, we will be out of here by next weekend at the latest... Cody and Luke are quite desperate to get out of here, and I feel the same... I do not like having to deal with Pops when I think of what he did to them..
I will keep everyone posted, and whether we leave this weekend will become clear in the next couple of days. If anyone has questions, or would like to talk, I will try and be on AIM as much as possible if anyone would like to talk. "grey reverie". I look forward to hearing from everyone!
