Hi. I figured I would let everyone know that we are planning a cross country trip. The main point of this trip is to find a place to call home. But we also are interested in meeting others like us. We will be traveling partially by bus. But mostly by foot or bike. We will be starting from Arizona. And will be making our way east to Florida. Then from there we will be heading north to New York. From there we're unsure of where to go. So that's why I'm posting this. There are already a few others who we are planning to stop by and say hey to. We're not looking for money or anything. But if anyone is interested in meeting up for a meal. Or just to say hey let us know. We've been wanting to do something like this for years. And we've been planning this for a few months now, though at first the idea was to take our car. Then we were going to go by motorcycle. But now we have decided we really want to see as much of this country as possible.

We've only had the pleasure of meeting one other like us. And we'd like to meet more. We don't want to burden anyone or make it seem like we're looking for a handout. But the trip will be long, exhausting, and treacherous. So while we're not asking for anyone to put a roof over our head for a day or two we certainly won't turn down any offers. We don't know how long the journey will be. We might end up covering every inch of land of this country. And won't find a place to call home. But we're going to try.

We have plenty of money. So if you do want to meet us on our way through. But don't feel comfortable having us stay we can always get a motel nearby.

The first stretch looks to be the most difficult. We don't know anyone on LJ in New Mexico or Texas. So the only real chance we'll have to rest will be at costly motels.

Hehe. Yeah. By now I imagine you're either shaking your head. Or thinking how incredibly stupid/crazy we are to be doing this. But we've all decided on it. Luke and I have survived some incredible things in our life so far. But that's the problem. We didn't experience things so much as survive them. They were incredible things we don't want to remember. So we want to do this one incredible thing with our life before the body gets too old. We understand the dangers. And we know the risks. This could very well be the end of us all. But it might not be. If we manage to get through this it will be something we can all look back at and be proud of. Knowing that we stuck together and saw so many things and experienced so many good times. That will be something that will make living worthwhile, I think. Because so far, given all the traumatic shit we've been forced to survive, I think we are due for some lasting hapiness.

SO. Rambling aside. Anyone who is interested in meeting up with us we won't turn down. Let us know if you are interested. And we'll friend you so you can be kept better updated as we get closer to leaving. Thanks for your time.

We are so jealous of you. We wish we could do what you're doing.

We're in Ohio.. We're gonna friend you, just because we are that jealous and want to live vicariously.. But if you swing through, there's always the possibility of chilling for a night or two here.

Cool beans! We'll be sure to take you up on that offer. Right now we're planning on sticking to the border of the country as far as New York. Then we're going to hook around through the western edge of PA. So we will hit Ohio eventually hehe.

There is nothing in the least stupid or crazy about this. It is completely normal, at one time in this country it was routine. People still do this all the time -- to find work, a place to live, etc. Whether by walking, bus or train or Okie truck, who cares? We traveled cross-country twice last year. (yeah, in a train or car, but) It was an experience not to be missed.

You might want to consider keeping us here at multiplicity posted periodically about where you are and what things are like. Can you take pictures? (Ours are up at http://ksol1460.fotopages.com)

We're trying to get every possible detail organized. We have someone we are planning on sending our laptop to. So she can update LJ in our stead. If she doesn't want to then hopefully someone from this community will be able to help out. So far everyone has responded well to our idea. So we feel really well supported. And know that we're -really- not alone on this one, hehe.

We have a video phone. So expect lots of pictures, hehe.

Hmm. That much is a given. It's all good though. The feeling is mutual. I hated the bubbly one. What was her name? You know. The one that talked Luke into calling Jeremy?

Yeah. At the point in time she started talking to him we had already argued with Torey for a while. So I decided there was no point in stressing Luke out any more. And figured everything was said and done. Then a couple days after we stopped talking to Torey, the girl (to make sure there is no confusion it was the girl with the yellow beetle. I still can't remember her name) randomly IM'd Luke. She was saying that what we did wasn't right. We needed to call Jeremy and let him know the truth of what happened, etc. Naturally neither of us wanted to. Luke was still hurting badly from all that had happened. But she made it sound like the right thing to do at the time. So she got his number. And told us to call him. We did. Then afterwards she started insulting us.

Looking back it's clear it wasn't needed. But she was acting like a friend. And we were desperate for friends at the time.

So there's that situation. It's also a given she won't believe that. She still doesn't seem to believe in my existence. Or all the other's for that matter. Oh well.
