I'm attempting to delete peacelovejoy but LJ is fucking with me.

I'd delete it's postings in the group but the discussion following are semi-important. Unless the group consensus is they want they gone.

Okay it's done it was my browser. Opera doens't get along with a variety of websites. Anyway hopefully it wont' come back.

You can't do that with a community post unfortunately. The owner of a community can only choose to either delete it all or leave it all alone. If you delete the offending post you'll be forced to delete all the comments also, unless you copy them and save them to a website elsewhere, or re-post them, or something. (I had a similar problem with a community I ran).

Couldn't the mod just delete all of the text in the entry itself and leave "Edited" or something? Then the post would read as such, and the comments would remain.

Not in my experience, I always want to edit posts to say they'll be deleted in 24 hours, here's the reason why, but it greys out the save changes button and only allows deletion.

Exactly as [livejournal.com profile] doltaghey said. Also, I don't mind the conversations being left in, as long as he, himself, is gone.

Additional--he doesn't strike me as that intelligent. If he changes his LJ handle, and comes back in, I honestly think the tone of the posts and how he choses to string words together will tell us who it is.

Thank you for taking care of it. I also don't mind the post and the conversation being left, am just glad that he's gone now and we don't have to put up with such any longer. :)

"It" is in a lot of communities I've been in and out of.. and crossposting like hell. Mostly a few PTSD communities. Another one for manic depression. Some other kind of psychological affliction, though I can't remember. It's almost bizarre.

They're trying to gain patients/perform mass therapy by crossposting to all of those groups. Maybe you should warn the groups about what the poster really is.

Yeah. They're in the sexual assault survivors comm as well... I feel that I should probably remove them from there (since I/We mod there)

...deftly moves the discussion off topic...doesn't change the truth though...

the poem applied to all, and some take offense to it...many welcomed it...too bad this one didn't...but it's very relevant here too as many with DID were abused severely as children...but what do I know...I'm obviously what most have labeled me as...a solicitor of business or out to change the world, jousting every windmill in site...

I'm for leaving the whole thing up. Also, I agree about warning people in other communities about this person.

Slightly off-topically, I'd recommend Firefox (http://www.mozilla.org/firefox), which does seem to get along well with LJ (and has no built-in ads).

I have to ask, "what is so offensive?"...I see a mountain being made out of a molehill, and taken to the 'nth degree here...

...I am not soliciting new clients...my world is as full as I can enjoy it now...I am not cross-posting anywhere that the poem does not apply...

...I will say this...I will not post here again, after I just posted this latest one, before reading what a "monster" I must seem to so many...(rolling my eyes)...but as I said, I will NOT post here again unless I am asked to by someone who is a member of this community...fair enough?...
