Hi, I had Sadie friended, and she had me friended in return.
The top picture on the LJ-drama link is a picture of the person they claimed to be.
Ironically, they were strongly against "fakers" on lj who stole pictures of other people, and would make photo-collages making fun of how they really looked. (I had a word or two with her about calling someone's boyfriend "Jabba the Hut".)
They had tons of photos of this person in their journal, on their website, etc. They regularly asked for pictures from other people (me included). They had pictures which were their "favorites" and claimed it was pictures of them switching. They also have now, a potentially huge database of pictures of girls they befriended this iteration, and may use those. This includes a picture of me. Something FEW PEOPLE GET. I'm a PRIVATE PERSON, and ignored my better judgement for a person's distressed request. (She claimed she wanted to be able to "see" the people who wanted to comfort her. I figured she really couldn't deal with the whole faceless internet thing, and needed it to fully render the fact that she was getting sympathy.)
I'm sorry. This news really bothers me, I don't relate or trust many people, and I think I trusted her. I thought I related to her, somewhat. I couldn't get with her bothering people about their appearance. She claimed that she had a "faker" in one of the rating communities who posed as her, and so I thought, hey, she's still freaked out over someone attempting to steal her identity.
I could have given two shits if she was a fat balding 40 year old man, if she had just said those pictures were of someone else. If she were a multiple and said that's how SHE looked, that's another thing entirely. Especially when she ran around harrassing others for how they looked, and started rating communities using these pictures.
