The fact that he arranged to meet people in person would seem to argue that he IS multiple, because why else would a man in his 30's or so think he'd be accepted as a young girl?
It's possible to be multiple AND to have really poor judgement. It's possible to be multiple AND to be a creep. I notice a lot of people here have younger members of their 'systems', and quite a few seem to have members who are not the nicest, most truthful, or most emotionally-balanced persons.
According to the DID 'model', all multiplicity is fake. Something to keep in mind, perhaps, before condemning someone on the basis of the circumstantial speculations of teenagers online.
He was saying that his BODY was female. x.x Even posting pictures of his body. And he did not mention to any of the girls he was going to meet with that he, or at least his body, were male and old.
The thing is, as far as I am aware, there was never any evidence that hewas multiple. He was posing as a very fragile, very abused young DID woman. And I find using such a persona in order to get various attractive women to send him pictures and addresses very preditory, actual intent to commit a crime or not.
Multiple or not, there was still lying with the intent to decieve others involved. "hurricanrana" claimed to look a certain way, discuss health issues I highly doubt he has ever had to deal with, and work a job that nobody of that name has ever held. All of "her" multiples were female.
It seems fairly clear to me, from my experience of her, that she was a creation of someone out to decieve other people on the internet. Whether or not he is a multiple himself has nothing to do with it. Either the him as a singular, or someone in his system has frankly been up to no good.

Being a multiple, or having issues does not make him any less of a predator than those of the psychiatric profession who would announce theyre not here to "study" us, and I am frankly surprised that you could see one as being at all different than the other. And quite frankly, I would rather see my words twisted into some horrible research paper proving what the world "already knows" about multiplicity anyway than be manipulated by someone claiming to be a "friend".
Yes, point well taken, although they did say "if he had DID that bad (not "if he were multiple") he couldn't have a job". However, we've unfortunately also seen real cases where sleazy guys really were pretending to be plural in order to get acquainted with other systems, particularly the younger persons in said systems. In a situation like this, without more information it's really hard to tell.
He doesn't have to think he'd be accepted, he only has to think he can get in arm's reach. It should also be noted that he didn't think he would be accepted enough to take/give a phone call, or to post his own pictures, so I think it again points to awareness of his deciet, and hoping that by the time he meets up with them, there isn't much that can be done about it in person. That rings a few warning bells.
The person claimed to be the "host" of a system resulting from rape. In fact, the name used by the person was claimed to be their legal name, and through that alone, they gained the trust of many. The pictures posted were claimed to be pictures of mostly her (and her BODY), but some were supposed to be pictures of others while they were "switching". We're also not talking about a few pictures here, we're talking about over a hundred pictures of one girl including in various states of undress, and a few pictures of bleeding wrists sent to people to garner trust and sympathy. (I never recieved a bleeding wrist picture, but I was encouraged to send them pictures because it "would make them feel better", along with others.) There were also other people in pictures with them, who were supposed to be their friends, and another set of pictures which was supposed to be their sister.
In return for this wealth of falsified information, this person got names, photos, phone numbers, and ADDRESSES. The person also convinced people, the ones you are referring to as "teenagers online", to write up fantasies for them tied to their haircut fetish.
It's not about whether or not the person was a multiple or pretending to be one, it's about the lies exchanged for personal information, private information, that someone wouldn't give to someone they didn't feel they knew. This person engendered that feeling, through deceit.
You know, balding fat men in their 40s can be multiple too (I know, I'm married to one). So I am wondering if the girl he was "posing" as, is actually a girl in his system. I never saw the posts (or at least I don't remember them) so I don't know if he was claiming that his *body* was 18 and female, and now the journal is deleted the evidence is lost. I think the lesson here though is a plain one; don't give out your address or your real phone number on the 'net. Anyway... in any other community I think the case would be clear-cut but when you take the multiplicity into account it becomes an entirely different can of worms and if he was genuinely multiple then I feel really sad for the whole situation.

yeah, that is definately why Im putting up such a stink about it. This isnt some multiple being misunderstood (although the comment elenbarathi picked up on made me shudder too), this was manipulation and deception. And Im not into that, especially when almost ninety percent of the girls who are active in such communities are underage.

They had pictures which were their "favorites" and claimed it was pictures of them switching. They also have now, a potentially huge database of pictures of girls they befriended this iteration, and may use those. This includes a picture of me. Something FEW PEOPLE GET. I'm a PRIVATE PERSON, and ignored my better judgement for a person's distressed request. (She claimed she wanted to be able to "see" the people who wanted to comfort her. I figured she really couldn't deal with the whole faceless internet thing, and needed it to fully render the fact that she was getting sympathy.)
I'm sorry. This news really bothers me, I don't relate or trust many people, and I think I trusted her. I thought I related to her, somewhat. I couldn't get with her bothering people about their appearance. She claimed that she had a "faker" in one of the rating communities who posed as her, and so I thought, hey, she's still freaked out over someone attempting to steal her identity.
I could have given two shits if she was a fat balding 40 year old man, if she had just said those pictures were of someone else. If she were a multiple and said that's how SHE looked, that's another thing entirely. Especially when she ran around harrassing others for how they looked, and started rating communities using these pictures.
